...... passed the test. Missed the start of the test. Only now seeing how Mikyle fared against Wood. Managed as well as well as anyone could against a guy constantly bowling over 95mph. Real promise there

Louis against pure pace....
In reply to Logic
He played Mark Wood and his express pace with such maturity and looked totally at ease. I liked the look of Mikyle Louis from early in the domestic season. He gets in a good stride, plays the ball late under the eyes and is nice and compact. When you bowl straight at him, he looks very strong and hits a good, hard ball. The only possible question was his patience and temperament being tested at the highest level. His brain fade shot showed it needs work but this composure against such pace was simply superb. Very admirable from the young man.
I would also add that this "West Indies batsmen cannot play high pace" clearly did not apply against Wood and his 97mph rockets. The batsmen as a unit looked well composed.
Getting back to Louis...if he can control the urge to play that odd reckless shot, even when the pressure has been cranked up at one end, such as was his downfall in this test, then he will become a fine player.
I'm impressed with his stance at the crease. That's all.
