A 90 mph guy and a talented spinner
In reply to Curtis
What so talented about Bashir???
In reply to voiceofreason
Looks talented against WI, 4 scalps
In reply to Curtis
Oh you shifted your though process. I guarantee one Test Match vs India he will be history.
In reply to Curtis
How about a 90mph spinner?
In reply to voiceofreason
You seem to be unaware that he played three Tests in the recent series with India and took 17 wickets.
In reply to voiceofreason
he bowled decently in India
In reply to voiceofreason
Did you watch him against India?
In reply to KTom
I was not aware but looking at the stats they are decent but nothing spectacular BBI 5/119 and a 33.35 ave/ 59.7 sr. West Indies made him look like Murali as they are reluctant to use their feet.

"I watched Sinclair bowl, he wasn't getting much spin, so I wasn't hopeful. But things can happen quite quickly in cricket.
"I'm the youngest in the group, everyone gets around me. I work closely with Jeetan Patel, he gives me lots of tips to bowl on different wickets. First innings I wasn't as consistent as I could have been, in the second innings it was nice to cash in.
"Still trying to soak everything in, that innings went so quickly."
When asked about his height: "I'm 6'4 - still growing!"
In reply to KTomWant a 5fer call West Indies. First Gus now Bashir wonder who will be next.
Dunno why he had to take a shot at Sinclair getting no spin.
Sinclair uses angles and flight.
In reply to Curtis
Sinclair is very ordinary as a spinner. Motie has some potential.
In reply to Curtis
Sinclair is a good cricketer.
Can hold his own with the bat
Outstanding in the field
Part time bowler.
There are better off spin bowlers in the region than Sinclair. Chase for one is a better bowler. So too Rakheem Cornwall and Bryan Charles.
Widen that choice to specialist spinners, then you add Motie, Hosein, & Warrican who are all much better bowlers than Sinclair
But Sinclair brings a package that gives him the edge on the latter 2.
Given Chase’s performances in LO cricket in the last couple years for WI, he is a better option than Sinclair at this point. But I have no issue with Sinclair getting his opportunity.
Sinclair reminds me of Roger Harper. Not even the best spinner on his own regional team but made it to WI team based on “other” factors
In reply to Curtis
To be honest everybody does look talented against the WI eh
In reply to Curtis
What happen to our 90 miles per hour pacer? He drop to 85 mph
And why motie and Sinclair can take wickets
In reply to imusic
Roger Harper played 25 Tests trying to learn how to bowl off breaks,I seem to recall a certain allrounder from TT playing one test in Pakistan, who remembers Rangi Nanan the best off spinner in the Caribbean at the time.

i think Brian Charles is the best of the group coming thru
he flights the ball and looks to deceive batters...and he turns it too
i hope he continues to move his game forward
PS: last year I joked to Dr. Dukes that I thought Junior Sinclair (Kevin's cousin) had more upside than him...i like it that he tries to flight and turn the ball...offies gotta have some guile to be successful
