I give him credit for not allowing the party to push him.

But is it too little too late? Had he opposed or stay neutral of Israel's genocide, the country would have been a much different place today. Trump would have been buried as the diverse base that got Biden elected, would have stand by him even though he physically cannot stand without help, such was the gift the full base wanted to bestow upon him, but for the elite white liberals who place Zionism above the country and in so doing gave Trump the opening he needed.

Let us see how this progress but we need a progressive to take charge, white elite liberals have done enough damage already.

I would like to also point out, this is a massive victory for the progressive base of the party over the white elitist liberal establishment of the party and in particular, the progressives who stood firm on their principle that we will not allow our name and money to support, defend and finance genocide.

At the end of the day, this decision was not ONLY about Biden's physical weakness and poor health, but equally about Israel- white liberals are not only morally bankrupt, they fight for the right of abortion and of males to share female bathroom YET, when it came to Israael, they financed, defended and supported the genocide of 38,000 occupied native people and the toll according to the Lancet, will reach 250,000 soon.

The base will rally- 80% of the base consists of older African American women, African Americans- of all age groups, Latinos, yes they are still majority demopcrats, young progressives- those 35 and under from all ethnic groups, Asian Americans, and crucially MENA's of Michigan- aka Muslim/Arab Americans.

The other 15 % of the base- white elitist liberals will fall on line- they will win some concessions such as a platform to endorse "chicks with dicks" the ability to use female bathroom for example.

They (donors/leadership) should not have bullied the ole man out. Instead, rally roung him and let him win and hand over in 1yr-18mths.
a. No other dem will get as much white man vote as him
b. Even with the abortion issue majority white women will not give Kamala nor any white man the maiority of their vote.
c. If Kamala is pushed aside the coalition of POC will stop volunteering by knocking doors and campaigning.
d. Not learining from the '68 fiasco in Chicago could lead to a 2024 fiasco in Chicago (if there's the open convention Pelosi wants)
e. Using a one issue (as Emir is) no matter how egregious to not support the ole man is not a winning strategy.
f. Most importantly Repubs gonna use this to 'gum-up' the Dem nomination process so the campaign is affected negatively.
g. Nuff white working class Dems will resent a White Man as Kamala's deputy and not vote.

What's this thing about white people? The LAST time Dems won the majority of the white vote was the 1960s. The Dems rely of Black, Latino, AAPI other minority voters, a subset of college educated white people and younger voters. They just need enough of these in enough numbers across the right States to get Kamala to 270. Georgia should be back in play now as Biden wasn't about to win there. They need to run up the score in Philly, Milwaukee, Detroit while getting just enough of the white women SCARED by Dobbs in MI/PEN/WI. You should see Twitter. Repugs having a meltdown. Trump hates her laugh and some have come out with the most vile, racist crap likely to rile up non white voters while turning off certain white voters who like to think they are not racist. Trump and Repugs now are not sure what tack to take. It's shook up the race and she's already got endorsements from CPC, CBC, Jewish Caucus, no of Senators most recently Warnock, Shapiro, Newsom and rumoured Wes Moore will come out tomorrow. Harris WILL BE the nominee. The party is already falling in line behind her. ActBlue raised 60mil for her since Biden dropped out and Black women-the BACKBONE of the Dem party began orgsnising right away with one Zoom Call with 25, 000 and others call and organising others. Big donors who wouldn't give Biden the time of day are donating to her campaign. Any attempt to go over her WILL fail miserably and guarantee Black voters stay home.
