Kumar Cherry Picking

His analysis of Brathwaite vs Brook against the short ball was fine...but he cherry picked the moments to highlight. Kraigg Brathwaite never looks aesthetically pleasing and is often found in uncomfortable looking positions against the short ball but his method works. As recently as during the last test match, they showed a statistic of his average against the short ball. It is over 50. Harry Brook on the other hand had a few of his shots on a flat deck at Trent Bridge against fast medium bowling shown, as evidence that he is a master of the short ball. Well, his brief test history confirms otherwise...just go back and watch him trying to play the Aussies

that was my initial thought especially that the ball for Brook was lower and Kraigg's a short pitched...

but i think his overall point is sensible

Nah, he only averaged 57 in tests...what does he know?

on the point specifically, the wi tracks are not conducive to learning how to play short balls

He does and is a fine analysist usually but in this instance, he should have picked a better example.

Probably only St. Lucia has decent carry with regular bounce. The pitches throughout the region are slowly improving but there is much to be done. The boost to stroke play and bowlers who bend their back will be significant.
