While although he pushed forward he still stretched for rather than let that fast delivery come to him but that would’ve bowled many batsmen. Very fast, late swing. Anything on the others or you don’t mind showing double standards? Lil, Kuk, Kuk, men just waiting to see you fail

His performance during the last series in Australia.

In Oz, Kirk was just the least worst of a really bad lot. That has earned him 3 test matches in England after he has been clearly out of form since FC season. Meanwhile the more in form Imlach warms the bench. Bizarre selection policy. Is it fear of hurting his confidence? Is his confidence boosted by looking at his test average going down the drain????

A double century got Kirk selected into the test team with little FC experience and an average of less than 30, this year Louis scored 3 tons, he was selected into the test squad without any A team experience.
You cannot build a team by discarding these youngsters without giving them a 3-4-year run.
They are playing even regional matches a year, along with a few tests, how can these learn from such limited cricket?
Replacing one inexperienced player for another makes little sense.
Since the seniors are not making themselves available, the best choice is to work with the present crop of players.
I have no problem in having them play A-team cricket either.

Needs dropped for the South Africa series.

Now would be the right time to have some 'A' team cricket in the Caribbean.

The more red ball and A team cricket the better. As with the tour of South Africa, prior to the Australian test tour, the A team should feature a few of the test players. Da Silva leading the side was a good choice and he got much needed practice. More of the same going forward would be good.

McKenzie patently has talent but he needs to learn so much about discipline and maintaining focus, as do plenty of the others in and around the side. They are mostly very young and almost to a man, lack experience. You do not pick up a bat and instantly become a test player who averages 50. It needs time and the right set up, coaching, management and direction. Kirk McKenzie can be a joy to watch...but that joy will be short lived until he learns to focus.

The late in-swinging 90mph yorker from Wood that got him yesterday was probably the best ball he ever faced. That will not happen all of the time, so maybe in the second innings, he will get a chance to prove himself. I want him around the set-up, even out of form such as now. These youngsters cannot be discarded, chopped and changed for the sake of it...there is no quick fix. Keacy Carty would be my choice at number three for the South Africa and Bangladesh series. The young man displays seemingly very good composure.
