2 come immediately to mind for me
Courtney Walsh. Especially earlier on in his career
Corey Collymore
The amount of times these 2 guys consistently bowled deliveries that just missed the batsman’s edge was outrageous.
Cant recall any others. Those 2 really stand out for me

Unlucky West Indian bowlers
What about poor slip fielders dropping catches....thinking of unlucky Roach many times....

That also qualifies. I don’t have the same recollection re: Roach tho
If Collymore was a bit faster and pitched it up slightly more he would have taken more wickets.

Collymore was quite quick in his younger days. Then I believe he got injured and adjusted his bowling accordingly.
Arguably the smartest and most technical of our seam bowlers since Malcolm Marshall
Inshan Ali, played on teams where feilders dropped catches at an alarming rate. Lifestyle choices led to his demise.
Sylvester Clarke, an exceptional quick bowler. Sidelined due to his choice of the renegade tour of SA.

You are right on all counts. Some folks do not remember when Collymore was really quick until
his injury.
Was the best of all after the vaunted Fab 4s..from Roberts to Marshall and certainly the most
unlucky when it came to missed edges and drop catches.
He has made and continue to make wonderful contribution to the game through his coaching.

Yeah. He was referred to as a 'mini-McGrath' at one stage. His pace dropped way off and he struggled to get above 72 mph near the end.
From memory, Patrick Patterson had some unbelievably unlucky spells...but the edges of his bowling were not the easiest to catch! The fuss over Mark Wood"s recent 97mph is understandable...but remember, that speed was Patterson"s slower ball

Yes, because the decline in top bats also meant the decline of top slippers, 2nd half of Roach's career more than 1st but both

LOL! Good one!

Vanburn Holder had more catches dropped than all. Back in the day them fellas used to be drunk as hell in the slips
I watched a spell by a young Courtney Walsh at the QPO. He was 4th in the 4 prong attack.
Man…..Walsh made that ball TALK yuh hear. Can’t remember who the opposition was but it seemed like almost every ball he bowled in that spell beat the batsmen all ends up. And no wicket. I think the Concrete Stand gave him a standing ovation.
Made a real impression with me.

Was it the match where Lara scored 180 out of 216 by TT?
In reply to PalsofMine
No. This was Walsh playing for WI. The other bowlers I believe were Marshall, Garner, and I think Patterson but not sure.
We used to call Joel Garner “iron ball”. Nobody could really score freely against him……especially effective in ODI’s

My choice will shock many of you but it's actually Curtly Ambrose. Yes he took 400 wickets and is regarded as one of the all time greats but he was unlucky on many occasions. He had spells where he would beat the bat two or three times every over and still not get a wicket. I remember once when West Indies toured England a commentator remarked, "Curtly Ambrose keeps beating the bat, what else does he have to do to get a wicket?"
In reply to Fivestar
Ambrose was simply amazing!
It appears someone suddenly has a dose of Amnesia.
England breathed a sigh of relief when they heard Roach was injured and could not compete in the last test series they played at home.
He is the best of this current lot
