Are downright horrendous!!!!

Wtf is that they are playing on!!!

Jayden Seales literally screaming at the pitch for some bounce!!!

How are WI supposed to produce better cricketers on these slow and low pitches???

Thank God they played four spinners imagine if they played the Joseph’s they would’ve killed them!!!

In reply to WIfan26

they prepared the pitches that way so they could have at least a 4-day match

Not only the pitches...how about the immediate area after the boundaries!? Who vex vex.

They were scared of rabada and the sa bowling attack bowling against batsmen with poor techniques and the match not going the distance so they curated a bland pitch with no grass to nullify that .that is what wi cricket has become

They simply do not know what the hell they are doing. Full stop. The excuse cannot be that they are preparing pitches to suit our team as that is an impossible task. Not one West Indian bowler can consistently bowl 2 good balls per over. No captain going back 15 years can set a field to our bowlers.

In reply to bobby Shoite, that's Lennox Lewis' wicked left hook. My previous comment is more aesthetics than anything else.

Well that’s the problem the entire World trying to play Bazball and make Test Cricket exciting but WI can only play Grindball/Braffball!!! It’s so sad because WI invented Calypso Cricket and once again the white man trying to make it his own!!!

They are not preparing slow wickets to nullify Rabada,
they simply do not know what they are doing.

Look at the wickets during other competitions.

West Indian do not know how to prepare wickets anymore period.

Yes, it is just water and roll.

I remember my school groundsman (Ellerslie in Barbados)
He would spend time caring for the grass all year round. After a football or field hockey game,
he would inspect the ptich area and fix any divots and such.
he always said that caring for a cricket wicket/pitch is a year-round effort.

I am not sure what is the deal with these Caribbean curators,
especially where cricket is the only sports on the field.

Here Bermuda, they used the same fields all year for soccer, cricket etc.
The football season ends and cricket starts right away.
This makes is difficult to have good wickets.

No excuse or Windies cricket grounds.

Just a question.
If the wicket is prepared to aid the way our tram is accustomed to is that a bad thing?
Because if it was fast and bouncy wouldn't it be disadvantage to our batsmen?
Batting isn't our streght presently so we need so assistance I don't see how could that be a bad thing.
Our bowlers able to get them out for mid 30o score what we need is for our batsmen to apply themselves.

Now if the wicket is so bad it will be given a poor rating by the ICC

In reply to TanteMerle Tante, you have to understand the socishitists' mindset - it's not about excellence, but 'bai, it gwine wuk; it nah mean anything.' Shucks, I'm going to make
a whole lot of people vex...but, is true...the groundsmen aren't properly supervised...not, to mention that the people in charge aren't doing follow-ups. Look how, ordinary & non-aesthetically pleasing the immediate area after the boundary line is! Compare it to other international grounds.
