And the small islands?
Barbados, Jamaica and Guyana not good enough to host some of these tournaments?
Is it because the President and VP from these areas?
The U17 tournament starting next week and it's in T&T once again... wham the other areas not good enough?
I'm guessing Guyana is out because CWI and GCB fighting over the VP appointment..
Jamaica out because nobody's interested in cricket over there...
But why Barbados?

The BCA refused to be a charity.
Barbados rejects loss-making cricket

As I said…..too cheap
Hosting regional cricket should be shared by all CWI territories for the good of the game in the region.
The gall of a territory saying they refusing to host “charity” tournaments is essentially saying they will not contribute to the development of cricket in the region.
An entirely unsurprising stance by the BCA

So you get the most profitable tours and avoid the loss-making ventures, no sense of responsibility, why should someone that does not get to host England, host games where they make a loss?
In reply to imusic
I don't think there is a bidding process for youth cricket. CWI foots the bill.
According to peeps in the setup GCB isn't getting the opportunity to host any.

I remember when the board was broke, and all those tournaments were held in Guyana because it was the cheapest venue.

They will be hosting England at the end of the year.

Yard should give them the Bangladesh Test.
Didn't Sarwan say that TT & Barbados have the best facilities!

GCB had a president who would pay his own money to host tournaments in Guyana, his surname was Singh.
A former BCA president, last name Marshall was the first to say, enough is enough.
WICB had owed the BCA lots of dollars.

About 20 years ago the BCA and GCB held the piggy bank for regional tours, and the then president of the BCA stopped footing the bill for tournaments.
CWI could not pay players, some waited long to get money owed to them.
Why should the BCA continue to foot the bill for tournaments played in Barbados, and increase the money owed to the organization?
Bro if WICB/CWI owned a building, the BCA and GCB would have put a lien on the property, for the money owed to them.

My bad. All this time I was under the impression that BCA and all the other regional territorial boards ARE CWI
Obviously that’s NOT the case

Chetram Singh... the hostel/indoor nets that players stay at is named after him.
I stayed there on numerous occasions.. usually Berbice, Essequibo and the President XI players and coaches stay there during the inter country tournaments.
Recently the did major works on the ground as well, relaid the pitch, upgraded the outfield to be in line with Providence and added lights.

The BCA and GCB are not the only Islands that fit the bills for every junior and senior tournament.
At what price would you say it is enough?

I remember Chetti well, he loves this game.
