T20 cricket at the 2028 Olympics!!!

There are supposed to be only 6 teams in the Olympics selected on the basis of T20 world rankings.

Stupid idea if you ask me.

Madness.
The same qualification route as football should be used for cricket. Since the individual West Indies team will also be ranked low, we may never get a chance to qualify.

sir...if london 2012 had a cricket tournament, that would have been smack in the middle of TT red force's golden run, and we were among the best t20 teams in the world....by far

However, did you play India, Australia etc. etc. to be ranked such?
In reply to natty_forever
no. but we had players that consistently beat them....pollard vs doherty in that years WT20 semifinal, dwayne bravo's 66 off 39 balls in the wt20 2009 quarterfinal, sunil narine cleaning up mumbai, NSW and chennai in the champions league. i think you're forgetting that those teams were nowhere as strong in t20s as they are now, and we were not as weak as we are now. a team with pollard, bravo, rampaul, badree, narine, the two bravos and lendl simmons would be more than competitive. the only reason we would have been dark horses is because TTO are spits of land in comparison to those countries, which doesn't really matter when you go on the field

Brisbane I believe will be Host for the 2032 Olympics..
Australia being a top cricket country, I expect the number of teams will increase
especially if the LA Games prove successful.
