Gave his all, battled through fitness issues and came through with decent returns in the end. At times, he was an absolute joy to watch, steaming in and troubling batsmen with his genuine pace & bounce. He will continue to play and enjoy regional & club cricket.

Finishes with 59 Tests, 166 wkts @ 32 (economy rate 3.4, strike rate 56) good returns for a good player.

Feet up big man, you have earned your rest.

You must have that factor to play cricket at the highest level, million fail to play at that level.
Thank you Shannon for the joy you gave us.

.Croft Daniel, Hall and Griffith.

Daniel did well in his short career and avg well vs ALL the test playing nations he played against...avg sub 30 against them all...But Croft WOULD HAVE TO BE TOP TEN

CROFT 125 WICKETS AVG 23.20 (27 MATCHES)

VS AUS 28.40
VS ENG 23.06
VS NZ 26.50
VS PAK 19.56

THAT IS THE RECORD OF AN ALLTIME TOP TEN BOWLER

NO way I would rank Roach ahead of Croft

Roach avgs 40.23 vs AUS ( 65.69 IN AUS!)
avgs 33.73 vs IND (72.00 IN IND!)
HOME AVG 22.66
AWAY AVG 38.44

Roach in my opinion should not be in no Wi top ten.

While you may be correct in your rankings, the list posted by imusic is by number of career wickets.

Back to D' Angel. I salute you, Angel. You have shown us all the real virtues of working hard at your craft. For me, you were always a battle ship. You took a while to crank through your gears but once you reached to top speed, you were as lethal as anyone the WI has produced. I remember what is virtually your swansong, the Super 50 a couple years ago. No regional batsman was able to score off you and I was at the final that night in Antigua when JA won in large part because you got injured and could not continue bowling. Congrats on a very good career, best of luck in the future and I hope that you get some future lucrative work worthy of your career so that you become financially secure.

and the thing is the man was just giving Trini shittalk. He got no support from CWI, neither did JaHo with the ban that prevented us from winning the series 3-0. It seemed really that CWI was pandering to the panicking Brits to ensure that they and their Barmy Army would come back. The whole affair was sickening.

Root saw Angel as a threat to the Hinglish.
He rightfully taunted him and got him banned.
Players have to be minded of the rules and use appropriate response to taunts.
The (B)ICC will always be hard on players from lesser teams.

Furthermore, it may be illegal to be straight, the way the world is going.
I am expecting to see a man, identify himself as a woman, and play cricket.
Imagine a man who bowls at 85 Mph playing against women.

Nuff respect to Shannon. When he was first selected I use to call him the truck driver. Many years later I saw him bowling in New Zealand and he was by far our best bowler in that game if not in that series. I thought he became very good and could have even get better if wasn't for injury. In the end he displayed everything I respect in a true warrior even when he questioned Root"s sexuality in the heat of battle. Good luck in all your endeavors Shannon.

all Root had to do was say "No" or "Yes" to the question and move on. I am sure that Gabriel cudnt give a F..F.. whichever way Root was swinging.
