The 40-year-old, who has already won five CPL trophies, is hoping to end his career with another title at TKR
Dwayne Bravo, the highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket, has announced that he will retire from the CPL after the ongoing season. Bravo, who will turn 41 in October, made the announcement public hours before Trinbago Knight Riders' opening game of CPL 2024, against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in Basseterre.

"It's been a great journey and I'm looking forward to playing my final professional tournament in front of my Caribbean people," Bravo posted on Instagram. "TKR is the place where everything started for me and will end with my team."

One of the true greats in cricket.

Would have been a test great, if not for bad admin.

Traversed many serious injuries, but a hard-worker and a real study of the game.

I heard him say one time that he does not or never will drink alcohol.

I know that you will have a coaching role in future,
I just hope that it will be with the Windies.
Windies can use his brilliance.

Yes....but its an entire generation was destroyed by the pig headed foolishness of a few hillbillies. Gayle, Sarwan, both Bravos, Jerome taylor, the most naturally gifted WI paceman since Whispering death. We have wasted so many resources in WI cricket. its no wonder the team has been at death's door for the last 10-14 years. Gayle and bravo are good dudes. i doh know ow i'd be able to play on the same team as Sammy knowing that he was a beneficiary of my persecution. the urge to throttle him would have been irresistible. Gayle and bravo are true professionals, that's why they won two world cups

Although I am an Amazon Warriors supporter,
I would not want to deny Bravo a send off.

I hope TNT wins this tournament.

A true white ball stalwart. Made the slower ball a real weapon in short form cricket. Wherever life takes him I hope he finds further success.

I've consistently told people that the West Indies didn't need to go through nearly 30 yeas of decline. we had the building blocks of a very good team in 2009.

Not too bad in 2024 either. I wonder if we will do better with this lot than the class of 2009

TKR can expect Pollard, Narine and Russell also to retire soon and then it is crapaud smoke their pipe as they have not invested in any youngsters

What Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, & Shai Hope are Global names and are still fairly young!!!

Really Adrian Barath who I like btw but in regards to the names above what name does he have globally??? You know Hope & Hettie averages more than him in Test Cricket right lol

Shani has only established himself in t20 cricket in the last year or so and he is already over 30. Pooran is a phenomenon in t20 cricket. The jury is still out on hetmeyer

Shai has Twin hundreds in England still talked about to this day, Pooran hit 140 odd in a U19 WC, Hetmyer was the first WI captain to win an U19 WC and the youngest to 5 ODI centuries!!!

Shaun averages 25 in test cricket, which is quite possibly the lowest average of any number 3 who has played 38 tests. Shai’s test career does him no favors. Lord knows if mark wood wasn’t injured he’d have never made those two centuries. More likely to be carried off in a stretcher

lollollol

Maybe you're right but you can't erase history!!!

Just say you don't like the man because he's from the coral rock Island and you still don't forgive them for ruining WI cricket lol
