Thanks . I stumbled upon her channel a couple weeks ago. Nice lady. Interesting story…especially the poor treatment she received from a Yardie immigration employee when she went to apply for her Yardie citizenship

Jamaica and Cuba has a long history...Oruiente Province still has
many of Jamaican heritage there..
My Maternal grand mother was a Cuban -Jamaican. Grandma Federicka
was something else.
Thanks for sharing this. Love it and love her story. And she reminds
me of a girl I met there in the 70s..a pretty one too smile

I heard that the late ex-GG, Howard Cooke, in his young years, would lead cricket teams on tours there. How I wish that such links could have been maintained. Ditto Colón and Port Limón.

Yes...Cookie was an ardent cricket player ,fan and lover of the game. He and
others including Headley would also take teams to Central America notably British
Honduras and Costa Rica.

I can just imagine! A so we stay, man: big and broad, far and wide. big grin
During Fidel and Michael time, a Yardie delegation was sent to Havana to study the health system (or some aspect of it), and we (JBC) sent a team in tow. On their return, they told of visiting Havana Hospital and chatting with the director, who was a black man. His English sparked some curiosity so they queried it and, of course, he confirmed that his parents were Yardies (from the Santiago area).

Yes, that's what I heard. Thanks for the confirmation.
