Trump slams Harris’ treatment of Pence, oblivious to the humor

This is really laughable – what happen to “hang Mike Pence” that his supporters were shouting at the insurrection on Jan 6, I guess that was delightful to trump.
Personally, I don’t really like Harris retort of “I am speaking” when she is interrupted, I think its crass/tactless….but compared to “hang Mike Pence"

Because I’m speaking is so much worse than a noose.

I love I’m speaking.

Dark humor indeed, life mimicking comedy

If you like “I am speaking” that’s fine; I just find it a rejoinder which can turn a civil discourse into an unnecessarily acerbic one.

But it’s only said when someone is ‘uncivilly’ interrupting you

Yeah, but you can be a little more classy. I posted a little while back that when I was a kid I use to watch TV debates in JA between Barristers Ian Ramsey, Vivian Blake and Dudley Thompson – their demeanor was sublime, always
.
American Bill Buckley, a TV commentator/debater, I did not agree with much he said, but I thoroughly enjoyed his debates. There was a certain elegance, panache, style to them. Nothing was rancid in demeanor, yet they were thoroughly effective, to me.

Trump growing band of supporters no care.

The JOY is fizzling faster than a a WI top order collapse!

Different analogy,. More at stake, moderator not stopping Pence, he knew what he was doing. Rude, condescending, misogynistic...it was deserved. Most important was for her to be assertive.

my dislike for the retort: “I am speaking” bugs me generically, not just when Kamala uses it, and she has it a few other times campaigning. There are numerous ways of dealing with interruptions that I don’t mind. that one just bugs me….sorry

No worries but that’s part of us culturally all across Trinidad- hence its normalcy to me- I can’t speak for the rest of the Caribbean
