10:43pm Phew. What a game of cricket that was. It ebbed and flowed. It twisted and turned. And it was perhaps fitting that Primus, who huffed and puffed with the bat and contributed to a major middle-overs slowdown, stood tall with the ball, restricting the Knight Riders and getting the job done for the home side. Prior to that, Springer had done his job, especially removing Carty in the previous over. Allen was also magnificent through the middle and it was arguably his spell that sowed the seeds of success for the Falcons.


The Knight Riders will be disappointed. The total seemed within reach but they just could not kick on when it mattered. They kept losing wickets at crucial moments and despite Carty and Pollard putting together a decent partnership to take them within touching distance, they could not get over the line.

Why bring Poo in at 4....
Why change lineup...

To say that we lost because Pooran batted 4 instead of tree is very lazy thinking Mr Escarpment! By that logic, he should bat 1!

fabian allens three wickets changed the match glad to see the younger wi players getting a run in the competition but they need to learn to rotate the strike

Congrats to Falcons. I am a fan because they are giving WI players a chance and they are the clear underdogs in this competition but to see Fab Fabian, Lewis and Hety start to crank it up has made watching this jokey league worthwhile. TKR pretty much showed that they are too old and too dependent upon Poo. The result will be the same as last year that they may be able to scrape into the finals but will be mauled by GAW. The policy of Narine pinch hitting obviously does not work in the West Indies but they persist in it. Pollard and Bravo were great players but both are past their sell by dates. Russell just does not fit into this team. I do not recall him making any real contribution to TKR in the past and I think he never will. I suspected from how they performed since he has come on board that there is no gel in this team.
