There is something special about Mikyle Louis.
I like what I am seeing.
He should turn in to an all-fornat playa fa Windies.
A little coaching and he will be fine.
Good discovery there VOR

Mikyle Louis

He’s playing like he belongs.
I’ll keep an eye on him for sure.
He’s got that kind of effortless power…
Think might be the first time I've seen him play love at a professional level and he really looks solid. Just need to know which ball to play st sometimes. Cause from what I see some the shots he out himself basically.
Wrong thread

He’s coming for red ball cricket.
His own words.
Nice to hear this ‘lickit’ for him is just a stepping stone.
Hopefully he takes the confidence from this back into his test game
A nuh the same people them that say T20 not cricket, now singing praises to a long shot!

Keep an eye on them.....
In reply to cumberland
.... I will
While I agree that lick-it cricket is not real cricket,
I like when a player transform from red to white ball.
I see this stint as a confidence boost which can: -
increase his power strokes,
boost his confidence,
increase his rotation of the strike ability, and
be a good steeping stone for his 50 game game.
I like that Louis is not just swiping,
but playing aggressive strokes and rotating the strike.
His fielding is also good.
needs to work on his technique he can only play off the front foot in attack and defence which is odd that is going to hurt him in red ball cricket
In reply to velo
Batting coach needed bro.
Barbar Azam is a front foot player too.
The main point is to play late, which means picking up length early.
So they do not hit 6s and 4s in red ball the real cricket?
T20 is here to stay, no red ball in Olympics.
In reply to TanteMerle
His 50 on Debut was even better. He brought out the shots and did use his feet to the spinners. Mikyle will do well across formats and I will go further to say that Mikyle must be groomed for captaincy of SKNP.
Mikyle 50 on debut
His own words.
Is he coming for regional "red ball cricket"?
In reply to natty_forever
Will CWI be represented in any Olympics?

In 100 years of cricket, the Revo gave us four greats, it is time allyuh up the anti because it was Antigua that produced the greats.
Who has the Windwards produced?
Sir Frank must be rolling in his grave, looking at how a group of Islands cannot assist the region in producing world-class players.
I am tired of hearing Free Loader speak of cricket, produce International players PLEASE.
he should be in contention for a spot in the year end ODIs and T20s.
better him than Charles going fawud
time for Sammy to say thank you to his freno Charles
Very impressive performance from a relatively inexperienced cricketer on a difficult batting wicket. Mikyle will go far
I missed today's innings, as i was at a cricket game,
However, I will watch it in YouTube, as I just got home.

How dare you spot that before me,be careful he's a Dottie yu know.
M. Louis: For the first time in 12 years I've seen a WI batsman I want to see go places. When you playing off the front foot with such organization for a tall batter you going find runs in more difficult places. Let me see how he does away from Warner Park as SKNP hits the road.
For his fond admirers let me warn you: the usual suspects are having a look at him AND are quietly liking what they see.

What's there not to like? Youth is the real deal. Knock today was a responsible and calculated one. His team was in trouble so he took his time and took on the bowling at the end.

These fellows ....smh
In reply to voiceofreason
I watched a replay on YouTube.
This kid is really impressive.
He played different knocks n every game thus far.
Very, very impressive.
Future star.

VoR, I think what I said sailed over your head. It's not that there is not anything to like about ML..You couldn't read the first part of what I wrote and come away with that impression.......it is WHO the usual suspects are that are liking what THEY see I am warning about. You know that F word that gets people in these parts hot and bothered.
In reply to TanteMerle
I think the 63 was the best knock of the three. They should open with Mikyle and let Fletch come down the order at 4. Season is pretty much done anyways . 1 more loss and done.
More nonsense... A batsman can't be skilled and technique judged in T20 entertainment cricket. T20 cricket is like homerun derby. Nothing more...
In reply to Cricket_101
but a skilled batsman can dominate T20
In reply to PalsofMine
T20 is pasture cricket; just lash ball over trees

Skilled batsmen will find gaps and periodic boundaries... Do u remember how Sars' lead GY to victory in the inaugural T20 championship.
In reply to Cricket_101
Some of the best test batsmen play test cricket.

Concur with batsmen play test cricket
i'm not gonna label this guy a future star or the real deal after a few t20 matches this guy got technique issues we saw in his first few test matches i wish him well and hope he is one of these guys that is willing to work on his game .
In reply to voiceofreason
I will like to see him open in some of these innings as well.
I try not to get in these insular fights and squabbles nowadays.
I don't care which territory producing greats, all are Windies.
I see Athanaze, Louis, Imlach, Wickham, and Andrews as future greats.
On the bowling front, I like Thorne, as I'm still looking for a spinna.
I just hope that Windies nurture them.
In reply to TanteMerle
Thing is spinners last longer than pacers. So Motie and Hosein?
In reply to natty_forever
I am sold on Mootie and Housein.
I was talking about youth.
Who is our future prospects.
