T20 is just a stepping stone....this lad is very talented....there are many talented players in Caribbean.....we failing to harness them....

Good luck to Jacob......

I like what England is doing, identifying talented players and giving them an opportunity to develop.
Whereas WI will throw a player into the deep end and let sink or swim with little or no support!

We do not have the structure and resources as other International countries, it is up to parents to assist children in whatever endeavours they want to pursue.
Jacob's parents are part of his development, he attended the Franklyn Stephenson Academy for many years, travelling to South Africa and England with the Academy during the summers, to learn about his game.
Rishabh Pant's parents invested in his cricket development, by moving him to another area of the country so that he could be part of a better cricket structure.

velo 2024-09-11 21:07:58

rough debut he does not have much of a fc or list a record so to put him against one of the best teams in world cricket was brave

Get it right - T20 is endgame, not stepping stone.

Maybe 20 years ago you could have said that.

and we will repeat this and repost these cold hard facts every time we "complain" that we losing players to Muddah Hingland.

We simply cannot compete in terms of resources and environment...just facts.

Worst thing about Bethel is that shit haircut. He is a very good cricketer. Will up his game over time.

God Forbid......

if a player after playing F.C.20 matched@25 with no century ..taking 7 wickets @96...white ball credentials same...... selected to play for West Indies.....

The Same Posters pull their daggers out....to castigate...in the name of bias, insular, moron et al...

But full of praise for England selectors...

Boy, you choose right...play your game...if you succeed...world is your....

If not....play county and league games..earn more , live happy....
