In t20 franchise cricket, yes he is.

But when it comes to T20Is he is on par with most of the guys that played in the world cup.

As for ODIs, we're better off not mentioning that.

because allyuh didn't want him. dem two vultures on barbados radio started the foolishness with the hype man odean, nearly derailed the west indies team in a series vs england.....and allyuh want him to stay? is just like when kensington oval did boo the Prince as he walked on to the pitch for the second innings of the 1999 test vs Australia...we know how that ended

The only problem with your theory is that he also quit as an IPL player at the same time he quit as West Indies captain. Are you suggesting that CWI influenced the IPL to force Pollard to quit? Or is this just your usual anti-Bajan foolishness?

He did not quit IPL. Sangakarrra the shit coach did not see him as an elite player no more. Funny story is that Sangakarra got his walking papers also and Tim David ,Polly 's replacement shit down his pants last year.
So that was a huge mistake by the brass at Mumbai to make Polly "batting coach' and he watching his replacement "fart' up the place.
Polly is still a good not great as before great player to watch. He does what no other batsman in WI does.
He should still be in WI colors but there is too much biasness in WI cricket hence our standings in all formats.
But he would not want to play to represent the snakes in Caribbean Cricket.

The only west indian i can remember getting booed at Kensington Oval was Ryan Hinds... and that was because he dared to appeal for an lbw against Sir Carl Hooper in a regional match. While i dont think bajans would necessarily boo Hinds if he appealed for an out against Lara I doubt that they would go as far as booing Lara himself. I was at the match for most of that test and i cant remember Lara getting booed at any time

here's what...watch the highlights of lara's 153 and David Hookes, late great aussie commentator mentions in the last minutes of the video lara being booed for sending out pedro collins as nightwatchman, the second time in two weeks

Stuuppsee. Carry yuh dishonest tail. Booing a captain's decision aint the same as booing a cricketer. I just told you that Bajan Ryan Hinds got booed cause a kendington crowd wanted to see Guyanese Hooper bat. Even if some bajans dont like Lara the individual they respect Lara the cricketer.

Now Pollard......he might have got booed by the old Kensington crowd cause they would not rate him as a batsman......but not Lara

In reply to Logicrubbish. lara has only been booed in three places, kensington, sabina and bourda in 2003. if kensington was lords and jason holder did tell a team to bowl first in overcast conditions on a slope, bajans wouldn't have booed him. 1999 was the year of toxic anti-lara sentiment. Everything on the SA tour was blamed on him, despite the unprofessional, chaotic, Neanderthal management of the board at the time that caused the tour's problems in the first place. the fact that either philo wallace or clayton lambert(the two openers), one of them, had the runs because they had to face allan donald at the wanderers the next morning was lara's fault. so doh tell me bajans was booing a captaincy decision homes.

All i see is people hug up and loving up Lara. As i said I was at the game. I may have missed when he got booed but that was the first and only time i ran on to a cricket field so I suspect in my euphoria i may have forgotten some booing of a player.

Clearly you have not forgotten the alleged blasphemy.

well every time i watch the innings, i hear Dvid Hookes reference it.....pick a struggle nah hoss, yuh oscillating between bajans not booing him at all and that they did boo him but only for sending out collins as nightwatchman(didn't make any difference because collins made a duck and lara was out in the middle before play closed for the day)
