Health Insurance for Seniors in Jamaica?
In reply to 1Desiabnu
is there such a thing?

Yea I understand, but I mean for someone mid 60s. I see a few where the cutoff is like 64, but there has to be something.

Couple of friends I have who lived in the US and/or Canada and move back to JA – they either visit the US or Canada for their medicals as required, or have permanently moved back to the US or Canada to access such… I was being a little facetious when asking if there is such – I really don’t know… I have anecdotal horror story
Thanks, yea the people who I know that split time do so as well. It's hard to believe there aren't any viable options for locals. I think think maybe the old people here are afraid to give up their age? Feel free to PM me.

I doubt if there is large enough market in that age group to support reasonable rates.
The best "Health Insurance" for returning resident to jamaica is ...... stay away from jamaica.

Keep the one you have overseas.
In reply to camos
That is correct.

but what if I don't have one overseas? (don't say den dog nyaam yuh suppa) I hear sagicor might have a couple options.
In reply to jahmekyah
negative. not an option

one was trying to sell me something that only covers terminal illness and disability for 200k JMD/year. Am I better off just setting aside money for the senior to cover medical expenses on own?
another question: where's the best place to get a full medical work up out there? Also interested in seeing a good cardiologist.
