How many lefties are bold enough to call a spade a spade, concede where they have to and celebrate their moments?

My 'prologue' complete here's my perspective:

Kamala came off in last night's debate as polished and 'well prepared'. I think she delivered exactly as she'd plan and convincingly at that. But there was a problem.

Firstly it was a 3 against 1 debate which. Kamala was served on a platter and they played right into her sweet zone.

The moderators were awfully biased. Noticeably moderators spent more time fact checking Trump and not Kamala. This was glaringly obvious.

Trump was baited and he fell or it every time. But there a counter to this argument. Whenever she was on the ropes the moderators moved on to save her. And there were times Trump himself could've and should've drive home some salient issues where she is most vulnerable.

Trump was honourable considering he went into the lion's den. Kamala won't dare venture outside of her bubble.

The tables flipped last night in that she made many personal attacks rather than more forcefully articulate her policies - style over substance. The bases for the two parties are pretty much entrenched and it is the independents who will decide this election

This is where Trump scored the knock out blow. Independents were trending vastly toward Trump's arguments over hers.

When she did say anything of note regarding policy it was pretty much cut and paste that of Joe Biden. Polls show Americans, the majority of which see the current administration's policies (economic moreso) unfavourably and tend toward Trump.

I can go on and on but end by saying this

If you won't concede that Trump won then can i argue that moderators won the debate. Supposedly they mesmerized Trump ain't?

Despite the shenanigans by ABC Trump will have benefitted more from this debate for the simple reason that he focused on issues that resonate with most voters and independents tended toward this Republican/Trump position.

Do you guys realise you're so caught up in politics you parrot the same things you hear on television. That is true for both sides!

Respectfully Courtesy, my homie, we disagree on this one, strongly it may be. I don't need majority of Lucians to see things as I do.

In fact if we had to do a poll among West Indians the Dems would win overwhelmingly. And I am sure you know why

You may understand why American politics is of keen interest to me, if I tell you. And maybe to you as well. Invariably it affects us all, if not now, then later. My parents and siblings and their families all have American passports. I have been deferring same, along with my family, mainly because we preferred raising our childrenas St Lucians and our lives have become deeply entrenched in our country. After all life is wonderful in fair Helen despite our politics.

You seem to have been reading my posts all along, and you did come to mind that I hadn't sighted you on this platform for sometime.

As recently as the Obama years I supported the Democrats. But that slowly shifted as I realized that their progressiveness nolonger align with my deeply held values. The Democrats/leftwing ideals of today, are not what they were twenty or so years ago.

You have garnered rightly from my posts that I am not a 'progressive' thinker and it isn't a matter of just not being l politically left. I find it hilarious that those opposite think it's weird to hold to traditional values such as, parental control in regarding their minors gender. Or the push on the rest of us to make as mainstream historical held pronouns he/she etc.

On the matter of the candidacy of Trump I am the first to admit that he is blunt and brash and the most ghetto politician in the West barring the likes of good old Fidel and lately Maduro etc. But he's definitely not what legacy media paint him as. He champions the ideals of right and it isn't peculiar that half of Americans support him for that

Funny enough, before he entered elective politics he was the billionaire everyone loved and referenced. He came on the scene as rightwing and he got tainted, maligned and is perpetually attacked, for his personal life and unorthodoxy in defending conservative values. The world is fastly moving on, and so long held beliefs have now become archaic. But this isn't the case with everyone, not the least brilliant

Do i think every idea/position on the left is ignoble, absolutely not. Neither to I embrace everything on the right. What I find funny is that many supporters of leftist political ideologies tell you they don't align to their strongly held personal values and that is fine. So why am I weird or castigated for supporting what is close to mine beliefs?

I'll end by saying this. We ALL defend what we believe in, even when others label us loonies. I don't think anyone on the left is crazy. I hold my position on principle and that needs to be respected.
