Motie usually bowled right after the power play in the 7th over.
The guy has taken 3 wickets in each match so far.
Why hold him back until the 11 over when barbados were already 100 runs on the board.
Then Motie only bowled 2 overs in this match.
He keep back Motie too late.

shai hope bad captaincy, we miss Tahir captaincy
I was pissed off when he give kemo to bowled the 4th over.
Before kemo bowled a ball i say his over will be expensive and i was correct.
Kemo is a runs truck.
He should have bowled shamar joseph in the 4th over, he has the raw pace.
We badly missed Tahir captaincy today.
This game is a gift to barbados today.
Why hope remove shamar from the bowling after he just shake up de kock.
He should have bowled one more over to de cock, he has the raw pace.
Hope is a clueless captain.

Lol. Any chance the continued presence of 2 set left handers up to 12th over might have been a factor? Do you really think Sinclair would have bowled 3 for 18 if at least one right hander had been in?
In reply to Logic
You really think Jeremy is going to understand that type of logic???
Half the people on this MB won’t even get it much less Jeremy!!!
I will say this though Motie is your best spinner eff matchups look at what Maharaj did to Hettie!!!

nope. also, sinclair is batsman, one of the most talented in the region and by far the most technically correct. why he's not in the test team is beyond me. but i guess management is happy with da silva and mootie coming in at 105-5 every game.......yes im still toating about WI not being to chase 256 vs a mediocre attack at providence 3 weeks ago
should be Pretorius before Reifer .... they not playing to win
In reply to WIfan26
Hettie did that to himself. Drowned in the honey

Maharaj played with all of dem egos...
Pooran last night
Hety and Moeen tonight...
Gotta give him credit... de dude knows what he is doing.
In reply to WIfan26
Also Maharaj went at 10.50 per over despite there being a right hander at one end throughout his spells
In reply to Logic
Yea so Hetmyer & Moeen hit 3 sixes and a four against him and he still managed to get both out which was more important than how many he went for!!!
Teekshana and Maharaj were going to be BRs prime bowlers in the defence of 205.
34 balls in the PP yielded 34 runs for GAW. How is the batting side getting the next 172 runs from 86 balls? Who was going to score beyond 2 runs per ball for GAW? In fact, who did?
GAW lacked intent in the PP and stagnated in the middle overs. The mechanics of t20 batting and Strike Rates continue to elude our better batsmen.
Of course it didn't help that BR ransacked 43 runs in their last two overs at bat.

People place too much into these matchups. I don't get why people feel that a left arm finger spinner should be hidden from a left handed batter. That comes across as the most negative match up. By the same logic a right arm finger spinner should be hidden from a right handed batter.
While I do acknowledge the concept of positive and negative match ups, it should not be the primary factor in deciding who should bowl or which batter to send out next. Talent should trump that. If a left arm spinner is as good spinner is a good spinner no reason he can't bowl to a left handed battter.
For the past 2 nights Maharaj a left arm finger spinner dismissed 3 quality left handers in Pooran, Hetty and Ali. Motie has shown that he can bowl to left handers.
Motie being the best bowler should have been brought into the attack just after the power play. Who knows he could have gotten one of the left handers out earlier and it would have been a different game. Rather he came on after the 10th over with the same negative match up against a set De Kock.
By hiding Motie because 2 left handers were at the crease resulted in lesser bowlers (Paul and Reifer) bowling more overs that Motie.
Last night's loss was characterized by poor bowling choices and questionable batting line up.
I would have opended with Moeen Ali.
Reasons being is that Azam Khan will get dropped when GAW have to play 4 overseas players in the playoffs and when they have exhausted the 5 matches for the developmental player. Tahir, Pretorius, Gurbaz (when he returns, Robinson for now) and Ali should be the 4 overseas players.
Ali can bat anywhere in the order. He has opended in white ball cricket. He also gives the left hand/right hand combo. He can also solve the issue with the second opener slot. A top 4 of Gurbaz (Robinson for now), Ali, Hope and Hetty is the the way to go.
In reply to Jeremy
Did he forget?
In reply to Jeremy
And attack him as he did that ball. Pack the leg side.
Can we stay in context??? Motie bowling 7 has proven to be effective. If he continued then the bowler of 11 wouldn't be facing a set batsman.
Shai hope is a dunce as a captain.
Good batsman but not captaincy material. Where is Tahir.
