Italian teams finding the going tough....
Pep made an error trading Walker!
In reply to camos
I think Walker wanted to leave, because at 34 the pace is a little less fast in Italy, and because of the English tabloid soap opera around his wife and girlfriend!

Looks like the 3 English teams have the edge on making the quarter finals.
Skelly needs to have more composure on some of those tackles - luckily the wing back is one place with depth (Skelly, Timber, Calafiori, Zinchenco, Tierney and Ben White - though I get scared anytime I see Kiwior warming up)
In reply to Acid
Feyenoord 0-2 Inter Milan
Bayern Munich 3-0 Leverkusen
Benfica 0-1 Barcelona
PSG 0-1 Liverpool
In reply to mikesiva
Slot played his big team on Saturday against last placed Southampton and his players looked tired against PSG tonight.
Poor squad management cost Liverpool. They could have played their small men on Saturday and save the legs for Champions league. Coming top of the group stage now counts for nothing.
Spot on. The lead in the EPL is so significant he could have used his second 11 last weekend.
In reply to nitro
The last time he used his second 11 Plymouth knock them out of the FA cup!
In reply to camos
True
In reply to camos
Barcelona 3-1 (aggregate 4-1) Benfica
Leverkusen 0-2 (0-5) Bayern Munich
Inter Milan 2-1 (4-1) Feyenoord
Liverpool 0-1 (1-1) Paris St Germain
PSG win 4-1 on penalties.
In reply to nitro
And arguably in the most important match of the season, Konate and TAA breakdown and Darwin Nunez (the less we say about him the better) looked so match un-fit. Anything Darwin touched looked beneficial to PSG.

Villa can turn this around. Barca looking very good.
In reply to nitro
Paris St-Germain 3-1 Aston Villa
Barcelona 4-0 Dortmund
PSG look very good...that's how you play the high press!
In reply to mikesiva
I heard Chris Dehring yesterday saying that the high press concept in sports was first introduced in hockey some 50 years ago. It appears though that around that time Ajax was using this system in football.
Great effort Villa. I am worried for Arsenal...it is not that difficult to score 3 goals it seems !
In reply to nitro

How did Aston Villa beat this team?
In reply to FanAttick
because PSG is nowhere as good as Inter made them look. How inter beat barca i will never know
i'm very suprised at this result
Dat was a near perfect match fi PSG.
Arsenal fans on social media talking how is dem should be lifting the trophy because PSG was lucky to get past them. Pure if this and if that. If not for injuries. If not for a Donnarumma masterclass etc etc.
I just love their delusions, year after year.
lol

'Footballing architect' - how Luis Enrique led PSG to brink of glory
Why?
And so it has proved, as now only a formidable Inter Milan team stand between this thrilling young PSG side and the crown they crave most, the Champions League.
PSG, fuelled by brilliant young talents such as 19-year-old Desire Doue and Georgian genius Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and inspired by Luis Enrique, who has known such tragedy and triumph in his life, have become a genuine Champions League feel-good story on the pitch.
In reply to Chrissy
The Spanish coaches are the best in the world.
