Why is the PM involved with so many accounts? What is the company with zero returns that made a loan. And the IC needs FID to investigate further suggests they suspect more is going on but can't figure out exactly what. Also did he not say he was NOT among the intial illicit six? So what gives?

Will read it all overnight. He should resign. Barita peeps must be sweating tonight.

If these politicians spent more time in office on the public's business than their own, Jamaica would be named among the developed countries!
Christie's life may be at risk!

The Integrity Commission has recommended that the Financial Services Commission (FSC) conduct a further probe into the transaction, to determine if Barita's practices are consistent with the law and the conditions of the licence under which it operates.
In its investigation report into the Prime Minister's financial affairs, the Integrity Commission noted irregularities in the disbursement of the loan, leading it to conclude that an unsecured loan was provided where a secured loan was intended.

I never thought a PM of the generation this one belongs to would've been so corrupt.
In reply to Brerzerk

A protest by the electorate should be forthcoming, given the Prime Minister's financial shenanigans! - leadership by civil society is lacking!
In reply to XDFIX
The FID must do their work first although in my opinion he should step aside while this investigation is ongoing.

The sad truth is that this is the thinking of lots of people so thieves are everywhere. Youth prefer scamming to literacy. Go figure dat. Some of the biggest thieves own churches.
Lawsuits set to drop!
THE Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) has scoffed at the announcement by Prime Minister Andrew Holness that he has instructed his attorneys to file action against senior members of the party who he said defamed him at a mid-morning news conference on Thursday.
In a response on Friday, a defiant PNP’s legal advisor, attorney-at-law Anthony Hylton, indicated that the Opposition would not be silenced by the threat of lawsuits.
“The People’s National Party will continue to promote and defend the rights of the Jamaican people to good governance, transparency and probity in public life. The threat of legal action will neither deter nor distract from that mission,” said Hylton.

Did Andrew read for his doctorate or is it a honary thingy?
Just wonder, where he gets time to complete a doctorate degree and manage 28 bank accounts
In reply to XDFIX
Good question - I thought PM and MP were full time work.
In reply to XDFIX
Listen this ginal needs to go but we don't need to give the wrong impression. Is it 28 bank accounts or 28 financial products? The last time I checked I had over 30 financial products across 3 banks and investment companies.
In reply to XDFIX
And run the government !
In reply to cricketmad
No one running the government.

The Director of Investigations said for the second investigation, he examined 3,600 transactions involving approximately 28 bank accounts associated with Holness. There were over 80 witness statements.
What's with video circulating that Holness set to resign and leave Jamaica?
