We just not good enough. And for those who are crying over the lack of county opportunities, how many county opportunities do SL/Pak/Bangla players get and yet still all can field competitive test teams that at least can take advantage of an opportunity in a test match and drive it home. Something that WI has generally not been able to do. The conclusion must be that our players are just not good enough and depending on another country for them to improve is not workable. I see all sorts of "minor league" cricket is being played around the world. Why don't we get some of that action.
I watched him in England , good technique. Not a blocker. That’s the difference with our player and modern batter.
Our batter mental fitness is the issue . We are not confident.
For Example . I never saw this side If Mikyle Louis before the cpl.
I like the look of him but he need a little more aggression in test.
But at the end of the day we have paint as the skipper . Dont expect any urgency at the top.

He’s played almost 50 FC matches with an average of 63, numbers don’t lie!!!

This guy is class. I've started watching him bat during that English tour and he has the temperament like a Sangakkara or Mahela. He has all those shots and like a typical left hander, is graceful on the cuts and drives.
Everytime he bats, I keep checking his average, seeing how much he needs to get it to 100
As you said, this is not his 1st stage. He has spent time in the lower division playing First Class Cricket for some time before stepping up which is a contrast to our players. The WICB 1st class season is 7 matches per season. A player would have to minimally be in his 8th year to play 50 matches (and that is if he plays every match, every season for his team).

What I have noticed in this CPL our batsmen cannot play spin even if the ball is not turning like in Barbados, that Cornwall can take a 5fer. Disgraceful!

Yup it’s sad that Hetmyer, Pooran, & Shai are still the best batsmen in the region with no one else stepping up and unfortunately those guys only interested in playing baseball!!!!
