Royals chose to bat
What type of foolishness is this royals
Some royal licks sharing
22/4 from 4
Who was the wise ass that came up with Royals batting first???

Score after 6 overs
BR 28-4
The guys who were scoring all the runs for Royals will struggle big time on these slow turning tracks.
Expecting the Royals to struggle big time in the remaining matches.
In reply to anthonyp
They feel others will struggle more, only reason for batting first.
Aljo en fuego! The Royal Derby! SLK in control!
50/7
Ah wah di?
Dust goes another to foward short leg wow! Chase on a 3 fer! 7 down!
50/7!
Providence back to its old ways

Terrible pitch. Lots of turn and low bounce up front so not ideal for stroke play. Some of these batsmen missing St.Lucia and St.Kitts. However it may lead to some low scoring cliff hangers.

the had a good test match pitch and for the world cup it wasn't terrible
but yea this is tough
maybe it's the extreme dry weather, i don't know
Govia gets his first CPL wicket! Maharaj tries to go big but only gets as far as Wiese who came in from long on! Royals would need 120 here but at 68/8 looks unlikely.
In reply to doosra yes the test and world cup wickets were much better.
Four fi AlJo
85/9

Men cyan play spin
Aljo with a 4 fer ! Miller had no choice goes for the big hit but only picks out the man at long on who runs to his right to snap a good catch. 85/9 Miller 21 off 20.
Aljo 4/22 in his 4 overs. Excellent returns!
96/9 from 20
96/9 after 20.
12/1 Johnson Charles c and b Holder 4.
65/3 after 9. SLK should win from here. 34 from 66 balls.
Chase showing how to bat on a difficult track?
In reply to doosra
They removed all the grass from the pitch... don't know who idea that was.
For the WC and the test match the pitch had some grass on it.
Looks like they gone backward again.. it wasn't like this in the last CPL either.
Sammy dem change the pitch at halftime?
SLK cruise into the playoffs with a clinical and comprehensive defeat of the Royals! Also move into 2nd place. These two teams play again on Monday at the same venue.

Voicy , that's a beatdong of epic proportions
Alzarri Joseph, Player of the Match: We knew that it was going to be a low-scoring wicket and for me, it was about bowling straight. Some are going to bounce, some are going to keep low - if you bowl at the stumps, you are in the game. (On the de Kock wicket) I wanted to use the angle from around the wicket and attack the stumps.
1:05pm A place in the playoffs was at stake for the Kings and they have done it in the most clinical manner possible. Their bowlers set things up before their captain arrived with intent in the powerplay, finding the fence regularly enough and breaking the back of the run-chase. Chase then ensured there were no further hiccups and hit the winnings runs, with Seifert also popping up with a neat, little cameo.
An off-day and a day to forget for the Royals, who will likely look at this as an aberration. They did not have many runs to play with and they could not extract as much assistance off the surface as their St Lucian counterparts. They will have to go back to the drawing board and pick themselves back up because, well, they play this opposition not long from now. Again.
Chase is oneof the few wi batsmen who can play both spin and pace and it showed today on a tricky pitch

decision to bat first on winning toss is as foolish as it gets chasing wins ninety percent of CPL T 20 games.. kmt
In reply to Castled
i was very suprised at that decision
In reply to sgtdjones
