Dominic Drakes as sub fielder?

Who came up with that idea? Vasbert means that his son must play some how, some way.
The youth has zero confidence !

We need Ganga in the booth to regurgitate how many times Pooran has been dropped!razz

Patriots need to move on from both Vasbert and Dominic.

They put him on the bench. Feel for him though he has had a horrendous season. Living off that finals performance but that seems like a decade ago! yes both of them need to go. Mega draft coming up so a lot will change. These guys should be auditioning themselves here.

Most definitely. Hoping J Louis can finish well to prove them wrong for not picking him from the start.

pkriston 2024-09-23 02:45:26

Or maybe not smile. Good signs nonetheless

I don't think you can blame that all on Louis! I mean he bowled 4 on the trot and had 2-3 missed chances off his bowling. Tough now the Man who was dropped not 1-2-3 -4 times is wreaking havoc.

Dis done.

Agreed. We were always destined to lose with all those drops on one of the world's top t20 batsmen. Fitting end to the season anyway.

Agreed fitting end to a calamitous season.Losing your captain Raza before a ball was bowled, Rutherford leaving for personal reasons, Hasaranga injured. Put up some decent totals but bowling and fielding in particular very inconsistent. Need a good draft.

Unfortunately The Patriots lost but ....they batted well...

Fielding gods wasn't with them tonite...

Drakes went backward this season, his bowling was disappointing and his fielding was comical.

Yup, I agree that Drakes had a very poor season.

BUY: How big a part did that p0lay in your team performances?

Lewis scored an unbeaten 100 but end up with 248 runs.
Mayers similar figures
Spiceman similar figures
By similar, I mean they scored a big one and nothing else (barely)

Your overseas players were crap this season. (injuries aside).

Your cappo was all-unispiring

I can go on forever.

BUT, Yes, Drakes had a very poor campaign.

A lot of these young guys need to play more proper cricket. More specifically, red ball cricket.

This mickey mouse T20 crap will not help them in these situations where they are out of form and totally lack confidence in their abilities.

How much more?
5 games a season??

SnoopDog 2024-09-23 14:43:42

In reply to Halliwell

Even one game of red ball cricket will be more beneficial to these young players than one year of mickey mouse T20s.

Agree - and this is where the Board, which doesn't have a long season, can try to send these guys to play in the Lower English Leagues or in the Sub Continent, SA, Australia, NZ etc.

The key to maintaining them would be to send them on a salary.

Agreed.

I recall in the 1990's Richie, Jimmy Adams, and few more West Indians playing for Lashings in the English minor counties. Even some Pakistanis Test players played in the minor counties.

But these young guys also have to want it. They have to have that determination and drive to improve their cricket in all facets.

You cannot develop your game by playing cricket in every T20 league; the youngster has not taken any time off to work on his game.

I forgot to mention that Dominic's Dad played first class cricket for a number of years in South Africa.

There are always opportunities to play red ball cricket and improve their game for these young guys. They have to want it though.

doosra 2024-09-24 13:48:58

DD had a tough tournament
poor fella

Daddy's presence may not be always the best thing for him, extra pressure?

BTW that Patriots coach too sulky sulky

the man always vex...a guess that happens with losing but damn
