Things may look good now, but GAW

Have a big problem to deal with in the play offs,
The opening position, who will open? Azam Khan can't play, only 4 overseas can, I can't see them solving that, given the local choices, also Kemo's form with bat and ball is very worrying

Shamar comes in for Junior

Kevin comes in for Azam

send Keemo up the order to open

there is no issue

SCC1 2024-09-28 17:41:56

I always thought that Shamar was a better batsman than where they usually slot him

Jeremy 2024-09-28 17:44:06

kemo is in good form, his dismissal in the past 2 games were excellent catches on the boundry ropes.

He is due for a good innings.

You all have a nice balance between bat and ball this year, like last year. Nice all round cricket.

A stable opening pair is very important, Kevin Sinclair seems to lack common sense, he has had a wonderful opportunity to get his name out there but has not grab it this far

In reply to Jeremy

what has Keemo done all season?

he leaks runs and can't seem to score a run

he owes the team a performance

hopefully in the playoffs

doosra 2024-09-28 18:17:12

here is another option

send Moeen to open like he did in the Blast and 100

He is there only to make up # they have no faith in him, I think he should have been tried earlier he also can bowl some tidy off spin

bird 2024-09-28 18:49:17

In reply to doosra

No, Azam

Not sure but the only reason Nandu is in the setup is because he is an emerging player... once he pass 23 ah don't think they will be picking him.

He is on a GHE contract though so cricket is his full time job so hopefully he's working on his game and making use of the CPL opportunity.

I think they gonna be looking for a young spinner... don't know where they finding that from though.

Got Chulai who could offer some left arm spin but they might go for an off spinner. Can't think of a decent upcoming offie though . Maybe Dindyal who bowls a bit of off spin and bats a bit.

doosra 2024-09-28 19:12:09

In reply to anthonyp

Dindial should definitely be pushing for an emerging player spot

Chulai looks good

but the whole team might be going different places after the draft...well some

so gotta wait and see

a lot of people to be paid
