According to Press reports, US President Joe Biden has said that a regional conflict in the Middle East “has to be avoided”, as fresh Israeli strikes killed 77 in Lebanon today, and hit targets in Gaza and as far afield as Yemen.

Asked by a reporter about the need to avoid a regional conflict, Biden said: “It has to be … It really has to be avoided.”

Biden did not elaborate on how the United States plans to halt the conflict, or on the fact that Washington continues to provide Israel with weapons and billions of dollars in aid.

You just choose to ignore the truth regarding the lengths Israel goes to protect civilians both in Gaza and southern Lebanon. No country ever in the history of combat does as Israel to protect civilians. Hence the pager explosions, leaflets and phone calls, humanitarian aid. All while trying to ensure its survival.
