TKR bowlers bowled crap after the Miller onslaught
Thay panicked and choked
That was a masterclass innings from Miller.
Why Pouty didn't take the ball as he does in situation like these...why make Hinds the scapegoat.
I feel for Nicky Poo who played another masterclass of a knock.
POUTY and Russell could not .
get the ball off the square
If no power outage, any score less than 200 would not haveen enough.
Twas written for the Royals...them now have a good chance of winning the title
Warriors will choke again.

TKR should have won with that DL target
In reply to Narper
The Miller 50 in 17 balls killed dem. Maybe the other spinner Salamkheil could have forced an error as he can be very deceptive ..
In reply to Kay
miller swung because he had 9 wickets in hand. odds were stacked against us the minute the target was 60 from 5
salmakhiel is not a powerplay spinner homes
In reply to Narper
T&T batted very slow…Pooran had no support from the other end.
Pollard and Russell cannot give a full season performance anymore.
They ruled the game in the past but that’s evidently fading away.
In reply to Narper
Do not let your wife see this post.
In reply to Raskil
pitch was slow. clean strikers of the ball like pollard and russel were struggling. pooran is just as big a hitter as them but his center of gravity is a lot lower
In reply to Jumpstart
Power play was only the first two overs .....

I didn't see the match. but captain Powell said it best, I read his post match- "he said, "chasing 60 in 5, was easy and simple and he expressed how the luck was with his side and he felt bad TKR situation- real classy of him.
But yes, there was nothing they could have done, even if they had scored say 195 in the 19.1 overs, the DL target would have only been 70.
A team chasing 60 in 5 overs, all the wickets intact and 40% of the 5 overs was given as power play as opposed to 20% in a full game.
But Guyanese fans are delighted, they really did fear TKR boy.
Lick it curry goat cricket after all.

I am in Trinudad for the last month.
I watched the match last night in a house full of trinis.
Thay all agreed with me that TkR was going to win
especially when Philip struck with his 3rd ball.
Everybody was shell shocked after the Miller innings
...so wifey agrees with me....TKR lost and it was their own doing after the outage fiasco
In reply to Narper
i thought 60 from 30 was an easy chase. You remember in 2017, patriots had a rain interrupted game vs tkr and we had to chase 86 runs in 6 overs.......munro and bravo darren did it in 5.2 overs, so i knew 60 in 5 was absolutely nothing, especially with wickets in the tank. my concern was the manner of tjis entire debacle. it wasn't rain. it was incompetence, stadium staff and cpl
In reply to Jumpstart
teams nowadays chase down 60-70 or score that amount if batting first with wickets lost...
so with all 10 that was a breeze
In reply to doosra
tellin yuh. i remember the first time i saw a rell beatdown in a powerplay. lendl and bharath scored 64 in 6 in 2009 vs diamond eagles and that was shocking for us, 15 years ago, but its par for the course now. if the wicket dead enough, men getting close to or over 100 in the powerplay like what we saw in the ipl this year
In reply to doosra
now if bryan charles did take them catches, would have been a different story. hoss i did know that was coming back to haunt us
In reply to Narper
Narps ...
TKR did not play to win...
When batting slowed down in the middle overs ..
One could tell Narine was not 100 %...
Hosein should have bowled the first over...
No ball, when a Powell chance was given.
The players, when they came out to defend 60, looked beaten and nervous...
BR deserves to win...
In reply to sgtdjones
Sarge....TKR didn't even get to wear their bridesmaid dress a 2nd time
In reply to Narper
So! Ain’t Royals and Warriors bowled crap after the Pooran onslaught????
Sorry, not an excuse!
In reply to StumpCam
they bowled pretty well up to that Jordan no ball
i think the score was 13 after 1.3
but it was never going to be easy defending that....surprised Narine went straight or legside to Miller tho which allowed him to free up...maybe it's the pressure
In reply to doosra
Bro, I went to sleep after the lights went out!
In reply to Jumpstart
No matter how many times you say it and how many places you post it you are still wrong.
I am sure you watched the game; Miller played good cricket shots. Jordan bowled a few good yorkers and the ball that was wide of the stumps was lovely. But Narine pelt as many as he could, Rovman cannot bat and TKR still lost. They would have chased down 70.
60 in 5 overs with 2 PP is an easy total to defend. If some Knight Rider fans did not think they supposed to win every year this loss would not be so teary eyed.
As was posited in your thread about life being so unfair reduced over matches are part of the game. So if it was rain or lights teams are given the opportunity to win in a shortened match. What total should have been set? 100 runs in 2 overs? You would have been quite happy. That is cowardly.

Interesting calculations my boy.
My calculations are 33.3% and 25% , not 40% and 20%.
Since the match was reduced to 6 overs, the proper calculation was 2 overs,
which is 33.3 % rounded up to the nearest full overr.
Just stick to the facts, which may be deduced as,
chasing a large run rate over a small number of overs is generally in favor of the chasing team.
The arrogance of the Trinis commie and supporters believed that they would have won.
Monday Morning Quarterbacking.
1. Why did Pollard not use Hosein.
2. Why did he bowl Jordan for a second over.
3. Why not rotate bowlers, Narine 1, Jordon 1, Hosein 1, Pollard 1.
This is all after the fact, but Trini had a lot of favorable umpiring calls all tournament.
Now they got the bad end of circumstances.
Remember the last game with Pooran and Hope LBW's.
Tough result for Trinis fans, but...
Who is the genius that fixes the lights five minutes before cut-off time?

need to stop jumping to spinners. where he get that from
In reply to Narper
Nonsense! after DL came in to play it was Royals game to lose, with those 2 SA batsmen 60 in 5 was not going to be enough
Isn't there a hint of...
In reply to bird
hoss i see tkr chase 86 in 5.2 overs, 60 runs in 5 overs was nothing, absolutely nothing. even powell said the royals were very fortunate
In reply to TanteMerle
Pollard made the right bowling calls imho
Jordan is a known finisher
Narine is Narine
that last over as given to Hinds based on his ability to bowl in tough situations
Hosein a first over possibly but then if he was launched by left-hander deKock Polllard would not have heard the end of it forever
Miller's hitting was clean and Narine erred a bit with his length and line - which is a surprise
In reply to doosra
Even though I didn’t see the Royals inning, I always felt that Narine should be attacked whenever there is little or no lateral movement.
In reply to StumpCam
he was returning from a niggle as well so dunno if that had any to do

Put it out there - What should a fair ask of been of the Royals to make with 10 wickets in hand and 5 overs? Give us a number.
The Royals were fortunate that the TKR batted slow with an in form and established batsman at one end and that the match was not a no result which would have sent TKR thru.
In reply to nick2020
my issue isn't the score. its the two hour postponement and the subsequent loss of overs due to faulty equipment. i do not think i have ever seen that happen in a knockout game anywhere in cricket. totally unacceptable
In reply to Narper
Let's see what happens to warriors , then I will remember that line...
In reply to Jumpstart
Then why did you complain the score was easy to achieve with 10 wickets in hand and then tell a story about how the TKR made this in that?
Your issue is the outcome because of the score. You rather not put another score out there as to what you think the ask should have been.
In reply to Jumpstart
This is the only true thing you have said. It was amateur hour and indeed unacceptable.
But your first post in the wake of the loss was to call it "unfair". You cannot walk that back.
In reply to nick2020
because it was easy to achieve in 5 overs. once the game went down to 5 overs, it was barbados' game to lose
In reply to Narper
Good to see you back man
In reply to Jumpstart
It was a bad year for TKR.The team wasn't good. Time to regroup
In reply to nick2020
TKR was playing some of their best cricket this year homes. That Kings beat us, SL Kings played a good game, I think TKR was complacent, but kings played very well. We definitely underestimated Antigua especially with Amir in their team. but Pooran was having his best cpl season, so was hinds and the the guys from St Maarten were a revelation. TKR played better this year than they played in the last 3 cpl editions, the three losses aside. I don’t know which team you were watching
In reply to Narper
The weakest cricket team at test level would have mane those runs under the same conditions, even against the strongest team.
In reply to granite
the only dude in cricket who would not have taken 60-5 overs is Kraigg and only because he knows he can't get the ball past the square on a consistent basis
