Retainer Contracts Out
In reply to TanteMerle
alzarri averaging 36 as a paceman in tests, 8 in odis and he get a multi year contract.....rewarding mediocrity. cwi knows nothing about standards, that is why they're not successful
Sebastian lucky to get a contract all for a man who cannot bat

I suggested multiyear deal several years ago when the player of interest at the time was Aljo
i suggest a 3 year 500kish somewhere there
i am glad to see this come thru - not because i suggested it...it was the obvious thing to do imho
England arrived at it before
guys with multiyear will have some more freedom from the many leagues... and perhaps CWI can depend on them to be a bit more available for intl duties
it's a start
On Braff...no point giving a multiyear deal to a guy who plays a few matches a year...i reckon he will continue with a year by year

Aljo plays across formats...whether he is producing at the level he is expected to is not the issue....
he earned 1.x from IPL last year so clearly even a CWI multiyear is not really a big deal for him
wi need him
I am delighted for Kaveen Hodge...a truly nice guy and a worker
hopefully Mikyle Louis will continue to improve and put his name on the list next year
back to the drawing board for Tage

I get that, but I just think alzarri isn’t learning as a bowler. He was horrible in England and I think both Shamar and Jayden have surpassed him already in keeping a steady and consistent line and length. I mean I understand the big idiot was creating havoc when Alzarri came in so the circumstances would not have been the best but is 8 years now hoss

he got a short time to prove himself
