Official??
If abandoned, why would SLK go through to the final? On what basis? DL?

Fitting result for the organizers. The GAW fan get to see their team Friday night and hopefully Sunday too. Scalpers in dreamland!

Not sure if there’s such a thing as a “settled bowling plan” in T20
One might have a plan, but you got to adapt based on conditions, opposition, match situation etc.
Flexibility is key

yea i don't mean fixed plan
but at times it comes over as all over the place
Moeen has been good all season for example and today he bowled till the 12th, as one example
if you want to win you have to let your in form players come take the game on
maybe it's that bit of timidness that i have seen for quite a while
let's see what they do next game

Take out one or both of Tahir and Motie and Guyana in trouble as their bowling lacks depth. 8 overs 0/69. Batting lacks a consistent opening pair. SLK exposed both tonight.

Also their fast bowling has been very inconsistent
They'd do well to get to the final with this arrangement

BTW
Take out one of Charles or Faf and slk in similar situation
Actually same for royals too with de kock
And same with tkr and pooran
So I suppose it's even

Disagree slightly with SLK as their batting with Tim Seifert, Wiese and Chase has been pretty decent. Rajapaksa's absence is a big loss.
Our bowling is very versatile and deep:
Aljo
Wiese
Noor
Khary Pierre
Roston Chase
Matthew Forde

Who da fcuk bowls Sheppy in the power play overs - in a big game? Brainless stuff.
But you’re spot on that GAW this year looks terribly disorganized when it comes to their team make-up and strategy.

They need to bowl Shamar ahead of sheppard.
Shamar has the pace.

yea but no one is scared in their shoes about Seifert, Chase and Wiese
and if they take down Noor like GAW did last night then the attack feels less threatening
so we shall see

yea indeed
though they pulled it back in the 2nd half
perhaps they could go a bit more pace in the top 6 and hold Motie back a bit more for the middle
there is also the option of Kevin Sinclair to give powerplay overs as he used to do so well...he comes in for Reifer
perhaps they are too spoiled for choices, albeit often expensive choices

Just catching up- saw the opening few overs, fell asleep. Cricinfo reported the SL won by DL method. The scoreboard suggest SL would have won if there was no rain?
Your headline said match was abandoned- if the match was abandoned, then GAW would have qualified ahead of SL owing to their better position in the preliminary? No?
