That Ta-Nehisi Coates interview still roiling at CBS.

Repercussions continue from the now infamous CBS interview last week when one of their “CBS This Morning”, moderators, Tony Dokoupil, likened the celebrated writer Ta-Nehisi Coates to a Hamas terrorist, because Coates in his new book, The Message refers to Israel as an Apartheid state and compares the treatment and experience of Palestinians to that of American blacks coming out of the Jim Crow era.
An era which, we should not fool ourselves, is seen by Donald Trump and his minions, as evidenced by Project 2025, as the age when America was great and one they would prefer to return to.
We know anyone who dares to criticize Israel is now easily labeled as antisemitic. That forceful, in-your-face attack by Dokoupil drew the ire of many fellow CBS journalists, forcing upper management into an internal review and reprimand of Dokoupil, but which also exposed a fault line among employees and management, including the Chairwoman, Sharon Redstone,
the media mogul whose Paramount empire controls CBS News, (and who) criticized the network’s leadership on Wednesday for its decision to reprimand a star morning show anchor over his handling of an on-air interview with the writer Ta-Nehisi Coates.
“They made a mistake here,” Ms. Redstone said during an appearance in Midtown Manhattan, adding, “I think we all agree that this was not handled correctly.”

It certainly has Saagar Enjeti hot under the collar. He's back to his anti-Black crazy rantings because of this. He blames Mr. Coates for today's Amerikkkan racism and for 'white girls in college becoming woke'.
lol.

Coates was strong with poise and grace. I am not offended by the clearly strong personal bias of the interviewer.
Curtis, here is the link, if you haven't yet watched it.

True but his personal bias should not inform the tone of the interview...aggressions hostility. Das like the difference between shaking up a talented with few bouncers vs going around the wkt and peppering his rib-cage with every ball. Guy was touting for Israel not interviewing

You wouldn't be offended if a man (basically) called you a back pack terrorist? lol

You see, you know he is biased so to react in anger, he got you. I am no expert but strategic offence/offense works best for me.

That Ta-Nehisi Coates interview with Jon Stewart is a gem. "Every single African American is a child of sexual violence. All of us. There is not a single pure African American ..."

And he felt so assured and confident thar he can attack Prof. Coates for being fair minded, in his twisted mind, Israel is beyond approach and incapable of committing bad things- a perfect "race." This was exactly Hitler's philosophy about Germans.
