Is Motie only worth a 2 overs?

Good point and well said.

Not a lot of fans really understand the match-ups inherent in T-20 and it is not uncommon for one of the team's front line bowlers to not given his full quota. Good and better captain, don't stick with their regular play book and are willing to make decisions based on the moment of the game, it is what our cappo did.

The final analysis is the victory.

This thread is one of the reasons the on-field duty should be given to the head coach.
I was at an NHL game on Saturday night, and two guys behind me knew every play and every decision that should be made, the team won 6-3, and these two old farts were still commenting.
At times, we all should shut up and enjoy the game.
By the way, I believe the best T20 spinner in the region is Hosein.

Like someone said, 'lots of cricket left to play'. I hope Motie takes 10 wickets in 2 overs in the next game, if it makes you happy

Clearly you will be unhappy

This focus ya'll MB peeps have on your countryman is why this WI experiment has to end, in my opinion. Ya'll will be better served supporting your own.

Powell is doing an amazing job! He has won more series than any other captain in decades. Clearly, he is inspiring his team.

Like I said, I don't care who bats or bowls, how the captain manages his team, i just want them to win.

They concern is only with their countryman.

Insinuating that Powell deliberately under bowled Motie.

That's the problem I have.

Poor Powell, can't even have a strategy.

Our cricket would have been far more advance, had it not been for insularity, you point is just one example. In the past we had been able to overcome insularity and racism because we had the talent to shut those who promoted evil down.

In the early to mid part of the last century when WI cricket was white and elite- the 3W's emerged to break that evil. More closer to the modern era, when Gordon Greenidge broke in, some became vexed that Leonard Baichan was not the man, Greenidge's performance shut them down.

Then Shiv came along and was the last of the era, when he resisted to come up the order and shoulder the batting versus his comfort level of number 4 or 5, and making a little 60 n.o from 172 balls, it was not helping our cricket, some saw that as an attack on their "own."

We need to adopt West Indies as our own and always regardless from where they came- are our players.

It is why I see CPL as a massive threat. We saw the depts and level of lowness CPL owners and political leader will go to savage our collective West Indian identity to promote nationalism to remain in power.

We have also seen how captains were targeted and accused for not liking so and so because- fill in the blank.

Should Powell be blamed because Motie didn’t take a single wicket on a pitch turning square? cool

not so long ago you were not good enough for a 2nd spinner consideration but you have proven you are more than good enough

keep your focus and do your process

Stop making up shit to suit your agenda!!

In 1975, WI went to Pakistan and Baichan played 2 matches and averaged 85 and scored a century where he and Lloyd batted on to save WI from defeat in the first test (I think). The tour went on to Australia and he played 1 match and average 11.5. He was discarded after that.

Greenidge did not play against Pakistan but played 4 matches against Australia and averaged 16.

People had every right to vex at that point given the performances in that tour and the man who scored more runs was dropped.

So how was that insularity??

I think he's from Albion side.

Chulai playing with the President XI... bowled his side to victory over Essequibo yesterday. Find it strange that he's not in the Essequibo squad.
