the curator was ordered to prepare a spinning track for the next test.....no needed for pacemen...expec a spin prong .....and Babar needs a real rest

the team management reached a consensus to rest Babar Azam among other senior players following a string of poor performances. The former Pakistan captain's last notable performance in Tests was in December 2022 when he scored 161 against New Zealand in Karachi. Since then, Azam has not scored a half-century in 18 innings and his highest score in this window has been 41 against Australia in Melbourn

bold step by pakistan to drop their best and most experienced batsman but it was the right decision if he is not performing. wi cricket should be this bold regarding the test side and relieve brathwaithe from his captaincy and dropping him too .the wi test side is a joke it can't get any worse than it is now by trying something diferent

PCB issues show cause notice to Fakhar Zaman over his remarks on Babar's exclusion

"It is concerning to hear suggestions about dropping Babar Azam," Zaman posted. "India didn't bench Virat Kohli during his rough stretch between 2020 and 2023, when he averaged 19.33, 28.21, and 26.50, respectively. If we are considering sidelining our premier batsman, arguably the best Pakistan has ever produced, it could send a deeply negative message across the team. There is still time to avoid pressing the panic button; we should focus on safeguarding our key players rather than undermining them."

Zaman now has seven days to 'explain his position' to the PCB.

Top comment on the BBC:

Win the toss and bat. You don't want to be batting 7th on this pitch!

So you’re saying it’s ok for a failed player to continue play ?

This is a professional sports .there is always someone in the 1st class set up. But you sound like these guys are indispensable.
