Kyle Mayers is both a better batsman and bowler than Springer.

Russell had no role in West Indies color . He is a runs machine with ball in hand and swiper with the bat . Can’t really remember a game he win us or a tournament he dominated.

Just a franchise Bully !!

I see Sheppard playing that Russell role more than Meyers or Springer.

Meyers is a top order batter who doesn't bowl outside the powerplay.

Springer isn't as destructive with the bat as Russell or Sheppard.

Sheppard fits that "Russell" role better than those 2

Agreed. However, Sheppard has to be more consistent with the ball. He bowls too many freebies. But he has the greatest attitude and personality in the team. He is obviously willing to work hard, learn and to adapt to any role he is assigned. Easily my favourite player in the team.

Let’s get this straight shepherds make the 11 before Russell. He stats is better. He is more consistent with the bat and above all more committed to West Indies . Plus they man play with more responsibility compare to Russell who always play brainless no matter what the situation requires

That Seam bowling alrounder goes to shepherds. And we have chase and Allen should be considered as the spin bowling grounder depend on team balance and opposition.

To answer the question, Shepherd is the natural successor to Russell. Springer I see as a possible middle orders bowler to complement Motie and Chase. Myers has a rough course to get into a top order that may have Lewis, King, Pooran, Hety, Hope and Rutherford. Keen readers will note that I did not include Powell on that list. Myers best course will be to show some captaincy potential and take Powell's job.

Powell will be out of the team whenever he loses the captaincy.

Or he better start being more consistent. The thing is if we keep winning...

Specialist cappo. Sounds familiar?? Lol

Powell has a good mentor in Sammy

But on a serious note. I really hope he starts producing more consistently.

Right now he is not in the best XI
