Mehidy Hasan Miraz to D Piedt, out Lbw!! Piedt has been given out lbw but he takes the review. Is it turning down leg though? Is height an issue? Was on a back of a length just outside off, turned in sharply, Piedt shuffled a bit to counter it but played down the wrong line to get hit above the knee roll on the front pad. Time for the replays. UltraEdge shows a flat line so no bat involved. Over to ball-tracking and hitting is umpire's call. That would have clipped the leg-stump and that's enough to uphold the onfield call. End of a resilient knock from Piedt.

Nayeem Hasan to Verreynne, SIX, in the arc, out of the park! A slot delivery drifting in, Verreynne clears his front leg and slog sweeps it with aplomb over deep mid-wicket for a might maximum. First six of the innings

Mehidy Hasan Miraz to Verreynne, SIX, going, going and gone! SA's lead goes over 200 now. Short delivery outside off, Verreynne picks the length in a jiffy, rocks back and pulls it over mid-wicket. There's a man in the deep and is interested

Mehidy Hasan Miraz to Verreynne, out Stumped!! Was a tossed up delivery outside off and fuller in length, drew Verreynne into an expansive stroke as he went for the big sweep across the line but he got beaten. He dragged his back foot

Rabada to Shadman Islam, out Caught by de Zorzi!! Brilliant reflex catch from de Zorzi! SA have the early breakthrough. On a good length on middle and off, Shadman Islam rises on his toes to tuck it across but it lobs to short leg's left off the face of the bat. It also deflected off the pad so de Zorzi has a bit of hang time. He moves to his left and takes it with both hands.

Rabada to Mominul, out Caught by Wiaan Mulder!! Rabada is breathing fire! He gets a back of a length delivery to rise awkwardly on Mominul. He hops and tries to fend it off but there's some extra bounce and it flies off the outer half towards third slip.

Maharaj to Shanto, out Lbw!! There was some rough outside off against the left-hander and Maharaj has been using it to create a few doubts. Took a bit of time to get into rhythm but eventually got the ball to land in that in-between length. Not too full neither short. Shanto with a huge lunge forward, but ended up playing all around it. Past the outside edge and hits him plumb in front of middle and off. Replays suggest that it would have crashed into middle of middle.

South Africa have now jumped to the fourth position in the WTC 2023/25 points table with a PCT of 47.61%. If they win each of their remaining five Tests, they'll finish at 69.44% (assuming no point-deduction on slow over rates), which will confirm them a top-two finish. Four wins out of five will take them to 61.11%, still putting them in with a great chance, depending on other results featuring India, Australia and Sri Lanka.

In reply to Chrissy

and we had them all but beat at Providence and just could not finish the job. I dont know why that one is still hurting me so much in light of all the licks we have gotten in 2024.
