He Batted exceptionally well in Sri Lanka.
Looks a good prospect to play spin

I think he’s a reserve in the Jamaica team

Johnson had some real problems with short pitched bowling in the last red ball regional tournament… I suppose you could say he has been ‘found out’ ( at least for now ).. he’s got some work to do in the meantime

He is at the correct age and stage to be found. Better than his predecessors who are found out in test cricket

Find it strange that Jamaica fight down for him and didn't select de youth for the super50...

They should have allowed him to go to the WI Academy!

Yes I agree with that… he’s got lots of time to work this out.

Strange thing is I remember watching him facing Isai Thorne bowling one of his quick spells in an Under 19 regional match a couple or so years ago (with plenty of short stuff) and he was in no trouble at all, in fact he made batting look easy.

He is part of the reserve.

JJ is indeed part of the reserves and I am expecting to see him in the 4-day squad. He must show more respect to bowlers rather than thinking he can dispatch all deliveries to the boundary with the arsenal of shots that he has. Being more selective and correcting playing so frequently across the line will see him moving into senior international competition soon.

The very first time I saw that boy bat I was just amazed, he had everything a batsman needs,if he is looked at and treated the right way we could have a great in the making.

I agree with this. The aggressiveness in most West Indian players makes them think they have to show off to the fans. Instead of building and allowing the game to come to them. In Barbados's selection chat I mention a youngster who seems to be on his way to working through this same process. I hope Johnson just think of batting long and he will score many runs. He have to get selfish with his battinglol
