Lewis has established that his omission in white ball cricket was nothing but malicious......
Now, time to bring back Darren Bravo back, in test cricket.....Bravo did put in everything few seasons back but for non- cricket issue has been ousted....just like Lewis, Hety...Bravo presence in test squad would not only strengthen the spin playing ability but also mentor youngsters like Athanaze, Hodge....
Pakistan tour coming soon....only spinners will bowl.... England series is just trailer....West Indies should prepare....
Coley be dynamic and flexible...

Let's see what the new selection policy throws up.

What utter nonsense. Lewis was both in terrible form and injury riddled for a long time. His comeback has coincided with his return to scoring runs (and not a huge volume either) and staying fit in CPL. When did he last make consistent runs for TnT? Ir appear for them for that matter,

Rubbish. Lewis did not play for a long time. Darren Bravo was in excellent form, being the top run scorer in the super 50 last season. By miles. He wasn’t picked and England sent a third string team, so the obvious faults of the batsmen on that tour weren’t laid bare. We play Sri Lanka and every man jack save Rutherford and Mootie failed. Lewis came in and does what he always does against Sri Lanka, scores hundreds. Somebody said that Lewis wasn’t good against spin, I believe it was Velo, and that was the biggest nonsense I’ve ever heard. Darren Bravo is STILL THE BEST BATSMAN IN THE WEST INDIES. He put his name up for selection by performances and was inexplicably not selected. WI can only do better with him in the squad

Yup totally agree!!! Unfortunately he only has himself to blame but I’m hoping he can still come back!!!
Has he been playing any competitive cricket in T&T???
What a loss ....

Lewis was dropped after very good series against Ireland.....he was deemed unfit along with Hety...
Thereafter, Lewis played all around world....in T20 & T10 leagues.....
Now, with new selection policy, it seems, coaches and captains power are curtailed.....even then, made to sit first two ODI, for reasons best known to Sammy lead management.....
Lewis, is the best opener , in white ball....CWI should manage him properly, for betterment of West Indies cricket.......

No doubt..The Best.........his presence in middle order at ,5....... a pivotal position held by Inzy, Dravid,Shiv..... would really strengthen the batting of West Indies....
Bravo, epic inning in day- night test at UAE....still ranked as one of the best....by West Indies batter......

i would not say that Bravo has himself to blame. yes he could have dealt with Cameron's either inaccurate of selective use of statistics on sports maxx better, but i would say that cameron was the big ediot in the room. Dave cameron's allegation was that bravo did not deserve a full contract with CWI because his performances were deemed less than satisfactory and not deserving of a full CWI retainer. This was in november of 2016. I don't know if he forgot or was just being malicious, but bravo was the only man that scored a hundred in that season's winter tour to australia in December of 2015, the same series that caused Mark Nicholas said caused him to say that the WT20 team was short of brains, although i think personally that was a cover for deep seated prejudice and racism that slipped out possibly in a moment of anger. Bravo was also one of two centurions on the tour of Pakistan shortly before their public falling out. Kraigg brathwaite for the 2015 season only averaged 24, was given a grade A contract for the 2016 season.
Bravo is a dude, because of the shenanigens of CWI management, has had to carry the weight of second string players for virtually his entire career. He played no tests with ramnaresh sarwan, the best batsman in the west indies when he debuted, because sarwan was exiled, he played very few tests with chris gayle, because gayle was exiled when he started, came back for two years and was exiled again. he played no tests with his brother, the best allrounder in the caribbean because there was inly space for one allrounder who both happened to be captains. His entire career has been saddled with second string players for him to carry and not everyone can handle that pressure, in fact i know only two, Brian Charles Lara and Steven Waugh. Steve waugh was never given a 2nd string team but he came into an australian team that was very weak. Lara was told before the JA test in 1999 vs australia that he had to captain a side he had no input in or not captain at all. four of the new players in that XI would go on to play 8 tests between them. and lara's response was something only he could conjure among his peers, 213. It is not fair to expect the same of Darren Bravo, in fact no player should have to put up with that level of chaos

I agree with all that you say. I still suspect that Bravo is probably just a little too thin skinned and probably needed some mental health support from his local board and CWI. Undoubtedly, he made a real effort to rehabilitate himself. Came back scored runs in FC and Super 50, captained TT very well (which few comment on) and then Dessie told him that he is not needed. That was one of the most stupid moves that a selector could have made when we have sub par test and ODI teams. He was told that they are investing in Athas and Carty, whose performances since those infamous words are self-evidently poor. Bravo has been the unwitting target of crass stupidity by Cameron and Haynes and of course as usual it is the WI team that has had to pay the price.
