In social media, Peter Della Pena, arguably America's top cricket writer and the man with the greatest of inside information is obviously unpleased, to put it mildly.

Sources say the team is rocked by division, and they point straight to the captain and Indian born players- these players not American born, but migrated and and became citizens through naturalization- the term used to describe the immigration process for a foreign born person to become a citizen.

Examples cited, the USA team has a rule that English is the team's language- yet the Indian born players- while on match on the field, speak in their native Indian language, they keep to themselves and formed clique, they conspire to undermine the coach and in terms of selection, they create division.

At the last T-20 WC, the captain become injured, it was clear from the inside, he would not be able to play in the remaining matches, the coach doing his job, needed a replacement, but the only way for the coach to get that replacement would be for the captain to drop out, it is alleged that he steadfastly refused.

While on tour, during team meeting, it is alleged the Indian born players, disrupt meeting and start their own Indian language team side discussion and giggle at the others.

It is alleged, there is a toxic environment. It is alleged, other Americans are discriminated against. Are Americans of West Indian heritage overlooked?

Will the ICC/BCCI, support sanctions?

For many, who waited decades for some signs that finally we can have true American cricket, that dream is now shattered.
