T&T vs CCC - Super50
Dem Trinis playing Test cricket. First Bravo the could have been Savior of West Indies cricket, now 61/0 after 17 on a small ground and a good batting strip.
Kudos to CCC but where is the positive intent from the Champs?
The Adrian Barath that commentating is the same chap that stepped away from cricket?
If so, good to see him around... dude wasted his talent!
In reply to anthonyp
he got out of WI cricket before he was Bravo'ed. nothing is wrong with his choice at all
In reply to Jumpstart
Good one
In reply to Jumpstart
HE IS SHITE NEVERTHELESS. AFTER CENTURY AGAINST OZ ON DEBUT HE FAILED MISERABLY AND ENDED WITH MID 20 AVERAGE.
DEDING WID LAF ON FAILARA FAILED JUDGEMENT.

tellin yuh. the kind of happiness bharath seeing right now is incomparable to the kind of stress west indies cricket between 2010 and 2019, without a doubt the two worst administrations in the history of west indies cricket.....the incompetence quadrumvirate does give even dem racists who was running the show in the 40s and 50s a run for their money in terms of damage done to west indies cricket. look like india heading down the same route, except their bane is populism on steroids. look how australia going to cane them....i pray virat makes a boatload of runs though. he can't go out without giving an epic reply to the critics
The Trini victim mentality. Whine and lime mentality. They even coined a new word for Wikipedia'" Bravo'ed".
100/1 after 26. Test cricket at St. Augustine.
Dropped! Caught and bowled chance. Greaves grabbed at it. Ottley survives 40* off 83.
In reply to voiceofreason
we could expand that word too......bharath left before he was Taylor'ed or Gayle'd or Sarwan'ed or Russell'ed or Rampaul'ed or Ramdin'ed. by either one of two WI maladministrations or in Gayle's case, both. regular in wi colors during that period yuh had to be a talentless boy scout. in some of the territories in the eastern caribbean, it seems a successful cricket team is one that is orderly, dresses well and wins nothing
Ottley gone for 45! Soak up so many deliveries only to get out soft for 45 off 88.
In reply to Jumpstart
So I guess Sammy was never Sammy'ed after bringing home the 2nd World Cup? Most of those guys done make more money than you or I so let us move on. We have a decent Administration now catering for the players.
Red Force playing a test match
In reply to voiceofreason
Sammy was Sammy'ed undoubtedly and i applaud sammy for taking on the big idiot.......but Sammy was already the beneficiary of a similar stance taken by the previous admin, a stance that exiled gayle for close to two years and destroyed Ramnaresh Sarwan's career and destroyed Dwayne Bravo's test career. I never heard him come out and say anything then, maybe in private he said something but that is a supposition
This game so boring.
I cannot watch.
In reply to voiceofreason
was never impressed with ottley, how he made that odi squad last year in front of the leading scorrer in the tournament makes not an iota of sense. he can't bat
113/3 after 30 Jangoo gone lbw 29 off 41. Akyshah Persaud strikes!
In reply to Jumpstart
Correck is right
In reply to imusic
and dude yuh seeing not able to hit off the square consistently of blocking half volleys, something that ottley and captain kraigg both do. cannot bat
In reply to Jumpstart
Not just dem 2. Almost an entire generation of regional batsmen are the same
Players like Athanaze, Carty, Wickham, Greaves (he not exactly young any more but massively mismanaged) provide some optimism however.
In reply to imusic
tellin yuh. men complaining about wi players cant play spin. i would like to say that gayle could play spin and Sarwan was exceptional at playing both spin and fast bowling, minus his hooking(i'd have much prefered him to be a puller than a compulsive hooker, but then that shows fearlessness). Sarwan was 5 days into his 31st year when his test career was murdered. sow the wind reap the whirlwind
i agree. and kaveem hodge, dude has guts. invaluable on the cricket field. Greaves is a very, VERY good batsman. Rutherford is also very good. in fact i'd say rutherford and lewis are the only whiteball players who can make runs on difficult wickets. those skills are easily transferable into test matches
In reply to Jumpstart
I would love to see our best white ball players go against our Test Team in a 4-day match!!!
My money would be on the white ball players although the Test Team would probably have better bowling it certainly would be interesting though!!!
Why is VOR bothered about how we batting,ah notice another poster say thematch is boring, listen rass is not T/20 so zip it will ya,
In reply to anthonyp
any tv? who is showing the game. utube down. thanks
In reply to WIfan26
yeah........but the test batsmen might not make 200 that's the issue
Where the hell do we get these stoic, staid and apathetic commentators?.
In reply to granite
Hey Granite you have 193/9 after 49.2 overs vs CCC? This is disturbing for all of us. Class in session!
194 all out from 50 overs
Tight bowling by Govia, Greaves and Persaud; with Goodridge cleaning up the tail
In reply to voiceofreason
Ah keep hearing that it's a difficult pitch for batting, also the spinners are showing how helpful it is for them.I have been looking on at the game and true,it seems like batsmen cyah get the ball off the square,I wonder how CCC will fare on this pitch. The plan should be for batsmen to stick around and not go after the bowling in T/20 style, seems like TT could win this game.
In reply to granite
ent VOR was saying issa a batting paradise, otley can't bat notwithstanding.
Trinidad probally will win this match shows how poor the reserves are
It have a Trini opening for CCC by the name of Kamil Pooran. Don't know if he related to Nicholas Pooran
Keiran Powell opening for CCC but he out early for 2
In reply to Prako
these pitches is half the reason WI cricket where it is...........the next half is CWI
In reply to Jumpstart
T&T lost their last 5 wickets for 4 runs to go from 190/5 to 194 all out
Looks like this Pooran Trini know how to bat better than the T&T Side.
50 up
50/1 after 13.1 overs
In reply to Prako
I have seen him bat once and it didn't take long to see him as a good player for TT,somehow TT didn't see it like i did,I would like to see him get a good score and defeat TT,
Nice 50 from parris what is impressive he rotating the strike along with the big shots
100 up
100/2 from 24.4 overs
Parris batting strong on 56*
In reply to granite
There is talent around the place. CCC should be the Academy concept that develops these guys.
Imagine guys like Parris can't make Bim side... they prefer the likes of Raymond Reifer.
De people who select some of these guys really need someone to knock some senses into them.
In reply to anthonyp
ccc four wickets down
Shamar Brooks does always play like his lamp need a healthy dose of kerosene boy. a most dotish shot. CCC giving this game away
In reply to anthonyp
dis done. govia wasn't out but CCC proving again that WI batsmen freeze when confronted by spinners
In reply to voiceofreason
this age like vinegar hoss.
In reply to Jumpstart
That is a good one!!!
CCC All out 134 (38.1 overs)
They were 133/6 and the last 4 wickets added 1 run.
Pick of the bowling:
Khary Pierre 9.1-4-8-4
Jason Mohammed 10-1-29-1
Yannic Cariah 8-0-31-3
T&T win by 60 runs
In reply to Prako
as soon and pierre and cariah came on and ccc saw the first slight movement they froze. some of those dudes had foot movement like a moose in water. see why sri lanka beat us to skin? they should prepare this sort of wicket every game. no easy runs. And its not just in TT. Sarwan, who is the chief selector for the harpy eagles said he was very disappointed in the batting for the 50 over tournament they had to select their squad
In reply to Jumpstart
I don't know if it was Pierre and Cariah. It could be this:
In reply to voiceofreason
Congrats VOR - you prematurely showed up before the 1st inning was done and the rest was a formality
In reply to Prako
he have a rep for goat mouth/blighting sides he supports.
In reply to anthonyp
De people who select some of these guys really need someone to knock some senses into them.
It’s a malaise throughout the region. Forkane Jason Mohammed STILL playing for T&T. Also Kjorn Ottley and Cariah.
I know you supposed to mix youth with experience……but come on……how much more do you need to see of JMo, Cariah, & Ottley to know they are not even close to international standard?
You already have Josh, Khary Pierre, & Anderson Phillip in the team for experience.
There’s a young guy named Cristian Thurton scoring lots of runs in league cricket…….he cyah get a look in? De young Pooran guy done show yuh up in this game.
Bare foolishness going on with TTCB. Yet Bassarath keeps getting re elected. SMH
In reply to Jumpstart
It’s not a rep
Is bare facts
Yuh eh see he keep his mouth shut fuh de entire match when SLK was playing Amazon Warriors in de CPL final?
He KNOWS had he opened he mout, it was all over for his Kings
In reply to Jumpstart
The thing is that he is so premature. He rushes so early and can't even make it to the half way point far less to the end.
In reply to anthonyp
Politics everywhere. dais why wi went from being 1st world in cricket to being in the stone age
We came out of a tight spot but there's very little reason for jubilation, we TT couldn't even get 250 against an inexperienced team,i understand the pitch was helpful, they should have proven themselves with the experienced players they have, they didn't do that so for now just say they got the points. The best thing about this match isS.Parris and K.Pooran, why is Parris not playing for Bim and Pooran not for TT
In reply to granite
politics everywhere. some decisions and choices totally irrational until yuh look below the surface of talent, performance, actual competence etc
In reply to Jumpstart
Gotcha mate!
Damn!
RAVI RAMPAUL HIT THE JACKPOT!!!
Respeck!
In reply to imusic
In reply to granite
Look at Mootie. Mootie is 29 going on 30 and we only became aware of him in the last 2-3 years. Politics everywhere and these people don’t seem to realize yuh can’t have a good team without good players.
In reply to Jumpstart
Sometimes I feel like talking on such players behalf but hate the response I get from some posters, but Motie is not the only player who had to wait for such a long time.I don't have to say who they are,you as well as many on here know who they are.If you say a word, the response is we Trinis always complaining.I am pleased Motie has put things right and the anti Motie gang should be quiet for a while, wait till he has 2 bad performances.
In reply to granite
this is why i was saying Bharath's happiness is incomparable to the stress he'd have recieved if he went on playing for the WI. bet bharath going to live longer than gayle, sarwan, both bravos, chasnderpaul etc
In reply to Jumpstart
Now I know better,I was so mad when Bharath quit cricket but never would have thought that stress caused his demise in a way,the best talent for years.Looking back at how he was jettisoned from the WI team was unfair, that we all know was for the inclusion of K.Powell.Bharath did fair in England and should have been included on the Bangla tour.
In reply to granite
yeah but look what took place after......The dunns river falls monster and an era of unprecedented chaos. bharath was fortunate he got out when he did
In reply to anthonyp
au contraire.
If reports are accurate , Bharath had set certain cricketing goals which he achieved.
He then moved on to Life beyond the boundary.
Wasted is not an apt term.
