CCC vs WI Academy

CCC 174 all out. It was a good move by the Leewards to let K Powell play for the CCC, he is an experience player that rarely does anything of note, better to let Louis develop his game in the opening position

Academy 25-1

Jediah Blades … 22 year old left arm pacer looks interesting.

Has taken 10 wickets so far in this tournament and judging by watching him last year, he seems to have added a bit of pace.

He also seems to be able to bring the ball back into the right-hander, could be one to watch

Yes, I noticed that Blades is bowling faster. However the WI Academy has collapsed,

Rain

Academy win by 22 runs via D/L method

A win for the Academy… not exactly a convincing one but a win.

That is a good observation, Motara is bowling more aggressively and getting wickets, Layne did well on the last tour to Ireland and Tuckett is already a good w/keeper, it would be interesting to see them play on better pitches that are faster.

unfortunate for CCC but that is how it goes. Like Velo, I am not seeing any improvement in players like Teddy Bishop or Auguste. They are not even up to regional standard as yet as far as I can see.

This is Motara first year with the WI Academy team...

Auguste, both Bishop, Layne and a few others there from the start... around 3 years or more.

Out of that lot only Joshua Bishop showed some consistency... the rest gives you a decent performance once pon a blue moon.

A few did graduate though. Mckenzie, Anderson and Wickham are doing pretty well.
