Ate Trump for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the one and only debate and had him running for cover.

Trump is not the prototypical strong candidate as we measure candidates. Trump has found himself in a era that was built perfectly for him to take advantage of all of the hopes and fears of the American people.

History was written by the winners and I am sure no one cares how stupid he looked in the debates, how stupid he looked at his rallies nor how stupid his campaign promises were he won by a country mile and that is all that matters to our generation.

We love winners.

And I am sure that people will say debates do not matter but if he had any common sense would he go into a debate and say he has concepts of a plan? A bad debate ended Biden but did nothing to hurt Trump.

So it goes.

I think it is easy to forget how truly awful a candidate Trump is because he is a winner. The insurrectionist got another term. The founding fathers post civil war put safeguards against this and yet here we are.

Right on all counts. There is such a thing as destiny.
Imagine him being in the right place,environment and at the right time.
He left office as the worst President in creating jobs...yet inherited a
wonderful economy from Obama and now he is again the recipient of an
economy that is on solid ground and poised to do well.

If America is on a path to self-destruction then this is certainly the key point.

Exit polls showed that more people were confident that Trump can handle a crisis. Trump.

It bothers me that people give Trump a pass for how bad he was during Covid. The GREATEST nation in the history of this planet coped with Covid the worst out of any developed nation. Shithole countries handled Covid better than Trump did. Dr Fauci and Bill Gates became the archnemeses of every antivaxxer yet Trump who boasted about Operation Lightspeed is still loved. Idiot Trump who thought drinking disinfectant and shining light up your ass would be a good idea to cure Covid.

The best thing that came out of this is Trump has a golden brick road to every single thing he wants to do with nothing to frustrate him. Not congress. Not the courts. There is no one else to blame for his failed promises like building a wall and making Mexico pay for it or tariffs or deportation.

I imagine when Rome does burn his supporters will clutch the ashes and blame Nancy Pelosi.

I saw some worrying signs in last few days.For the first time I saw a huge Trump sign
close to my home ,the first time any GOP sign has been posted in my neck of the woods
which is nearly 100 per cent Democratic.

But the most glaring was the low of support and seeming lack of enthusiasm in the City of Philadelphia
especially from black men of all ages. It was surreal.

I think the City's votes went from high 90s to high 70s.A disaster in the making.
Got to give the Con credit. His team had a better ground game too with surprising big support from young
and Latinos, both men and women in the State.

The next few years should be most interesting. But a lot of blame will be laid on Biden and others including
the Minority Dem House leader who flubbed the chance to bring more chaos in the House and even aided
the GOP clown to retain leadership....Johnson was Trump's pup and set to be a dangerous foe in the new administration.

Lots of things to examine and digest with this beat down. Some of us will not get over this for a while. But that can be a good thing
in a rough way

Love winners and fast food, even if they turn up at closing time, there's none and they then beat up the staff.only loss of life (covid) and property (housing crisis) is enough for their scaredy-cat vote

I don't think we can ignore the Comey effect 8 years ago. 2 weeks before an election day vote was cast, Comey announced an investigation into Hilary Clinton and 2 days later said it revealed nothing. But the damage was already done. The hypocrisy of that announcement was that there was also a counter intelligence investigation against Donald Trump campaign which Comey did not announce but Hilary's hit the headlines. So there is no convincing me that Comey did not know what he was doing. He was a good ole card carrying Republican doing their dirty work... he just did not know the kind of animal he was getting in bed with, and it came back to bite him. Remember later Donald Trump would consistently call for just announce an investigation, just announce one and Republican would take care of the rest, yes always searching for the comey effect. I almost sure they had an investigation announcement cooked up for Joe Biden on the eve of voting. That's why they were so pissed off when he dropped out and they would not get to use it.

So I am not sure Hilary would not have won if it was not for Comey. I think she was perched to win except Comey did his election interference magic. That's why there is no redemption for Comey, he knew what he was doing
