Wait you dropping the skipper?
In reply to anthonyp
cyah argue with that squad except maybe Forde for Shamar? Also Hope doesnt make your starting XI?
In reply to PalsofMine
Shamar ahead of Forde because I prefer some extra pace... already got got two similar players in the XI... Shep and Russell.
Who you dropping for Hope?
In reply to anthonyp
One change, Forde for Shamar and I opening the batting with Hosein instead.
The skipper stays in the hut until the spinners bowl out
In reply to natty_forever
Hope must play
Why would Chase, Motie, and Hosein play in the same XI?
Especially when you have Leiws, King, Pooran, Hope, Hetmeyer, & Rutherford in the squad?
Lewis
Hope
Pooran
Hetmeyer
Rutherford
Powell
Russell
Shepherd
Hosein
Motie
Shamar
1 Lewis
2 King
3 Pooran
4 Rutherford
5 Hetmeyer
6 Powell
7 Russell
8 Chase
9 Hosein
10 Motie
11 Ford
Just realize.
According to Darren Sammy........
Lewis
King
Pooran
Hope
Rutherford
Powell
Russell
Chase
Akeal
Motie
Forde
Sammy always pack team with batters ..
Akeal- Russell/Forde starts the bowling....
Then.. Chase - Motie... Russell/Forde ...
6th bowler...Powell & Rutherford..
I have taken into consideration...His love for Hety...
My team
Lewis
Hety
Chase
Pooran
Rutherford
Powell
Russell
Motie
Akeal
Forde
Shamar
I would never pick Russell, but since in squad...
Shepherd original no.7...
Sheppy make a miraculous recovery??
Better adjust my fantasy team
In reply to Halliwell
Well he was practicing with the squad... so I think he's fit to play

In reply to Onionman0
What love for Hety? Wasn't Hety one of the leading batsmen in the last CPL?
In reply to imusic
They need an extra bowling option... if he doesn't play then you going in with 5 bowlers alone. I don't consider the skipper and Sherfane bowlers.
Out of those 5 bowlers three of them are known as runs trucks.
In reply to anthonyp
King
Lewis
Pooran
Powell
Rutherford
Chase
Russell
Hosein
Motie
Shepherd
Hinds
In reply to natty_forever
Replace Hety with Powell
In reply to imusic
Because you only have 5 bowlers and Chase bowls his quota each game.
Hope sits, why are you dropping our highest ranked batsman? In reply to Baje
In reply to JamMack
A bowler short IMHO
In reply to Onionman0
Sit Hope. Try Hinds instead of Forde
In reply to Baje
I agree it may be a bowler short, but that is only if one can’t finish their quota of 4. In that case Rutherford bowls 1. In my opinion my XI has one Runs Truck (I.e. Russell), but sometimes he comes good. I do believe that pace off is the order of the day and is harder to dispatch on a wicket that offers some turn. I did not include Shepherd b/c of his recent injury, plus he would be a 2nd Runs Truck. I am sorry I did not make room for Hope. But I think it’s important to have the left handed Hety in team considering England’s wrist spin heavy attack and I do not want to break up the in form opening pair. We’ll see.
In reply to JamMack
I have no room for Hope either. Most teams have 6 bowlers because one of the 6 will get licks and you need to hide them.
It's only 20 overs, why would you need more than 5 batsmen plus 2 all-rounders, especially with a tail that is handy with the bat
In reply to anthonyp
Let’s say you right and they need the extra bowler. You going with 3 spinners?
At Kensington??
You expecting Chase to be bowling at the death?
Hosein bowls the power play overs
Motie bowls the middle overs
Where Chase bowling?
Chase is the VC so that means he most likely has to play. Can you really drop Hosein or Motie???
I guess these are good headaches for the management to have!!!
In reply to imusic
Little England pitch dead these days... nothing wrong with playing three spinners there.
I know for sure if Chase, Hosein and Motie play together and bowl their figures will be better than some of the pacers.
1 King
2 Lewis
3 Pooran
4 Rutherford
5 Hope
6 Powell
7 Chase
8 Hefty
9 Motie
10 Forde
Must play . The last player could be anyone but is probably going to be Russell to give a next pace option
In reply to anthonyp
Hosein and Motie have specific roles.
Chase is surplus to requirements. If one of the batsmen or slow bowlerd is unable to play, he gets a look in
He should not be a first XI starter in this T20 squad.
In reply to anthonyp
Facts
In reply to pariaman
Who is WI highest ranked T20I bowler?
Moties at the moment
but both Motie and Hosein are first picks because of their roles and production
Chase, Hope and Forde on the bench.
In reply to anthonyp
If they choose to play only 5 bowlers then 3 pacers will likely play. However I think that 5 bowlers is one bowler too few
I'm not mad at this selection at all, I would have selected Chase over King because Rutherford and Powell as the 6th bowler is risky, but let's see how it works out if we can set a reasonable target.
We may be able to set a decent one without Chase, let's see
Shamar is a waste of space in T20 and ODI he should be learning his trade in regionals
I was surprised Chase didn't play. You need 6 bowling options in white ball cricket.
We have too many batters who don't bowl.
In reply to allan
You was saying. Hope you realize you got it wrong.
In reply to Arlo
Agree
My changes. Chase for Rutherford.
Forde for Shamar
Yall seeing why Chase supposed to play?
Gonna say it again... open the batting with specialist cappo and bring in Chase.
Skipper don't have to worry about wrist spin in the first 5 overs.
They went with Joseph because they wanted the extra pace... mainly due to Alzarri spending time in anger management
The two changes for tomorrow should be
Chase in for King
Forde for Shamar
In reply to anthonyp
No
In reply to pariaman
I am certain my side would have done better
Chase would have helped with the bowling and forde would have done better than shamar
Same XI. No changes
Dont know the status of russell he brek down again and had to be assisted of the field.if he cant play chase come in for me and ford for joseph
In reply to imusic
They need to make a change. They are a bowler short.
We saw in the last odi what happened when Sheppard went down.
You also need bowling options. 5 bowlers isn't the way to go.
You need 6 regular bowlers in any white ball team. One of the batters would have to make way for Chase. Which batter makes way is the question.
Forde has got to play plus another bowler its that simple
In reply to anthonyp
you dropping King and keeping Hety?
Winning and losing in these inconsequential matches hardly makes any difference.......what matters, the vision of team management and progress.... with 4 bowlers strategy.... Russell never bowls full quota even for KKR..... absolutely rubbish....
In reply to Baje
Why should Hety get drop?
Did you watch the CPL? Isn't that what they use to pick the t20 side?
You know this is t20s and not ODIs right?
In reply to anthonyp
Well of these 5 batsmen: King, Lewis, Pooran, Rutherford, Hetty, who would you drop to have a team of 6 bowlers and 5 batsmen.
In reply to Baje
Dude Hetmyer averaged over 40 at a S/R of 185+ in the last CPL batting at #4... prior to that duck yesterday on his return match for WI in t20i he batted at #4 and made 30+ not out in quick time and won the match against SA.
Based on those numbers he earned a run at the #4 spot so yall give it a rest... the only person that makes the team ahead of him there is Pooran.
Added to all this, on the global market besides Pooran you think any other franchise would pick those guys ahead of Hety?
In reply to Baje
King
lol. Dem Guyanese well stressin over dem Hety
Maybe dey will out de lights if Hety doh play or don’t bat at 4
Doh worry Muddies…..allyuh invent a tournament where Allyuh is de only regional team and could do what Allyuh want. Then there will be nobody to cuss
It has been raining in bim if you get a full game or even a game you will be lucky
We need 6 bowling options.5 didn't cut it last night.
Lewis
Motie
Pooran
Rutherford
Hetmyer
Powell
Russell
Shepherd
Chase
Hosein
Shamar
Chase can bowl a couple of overs and float up the order to break up the barrage of lefties.
King
Lewis
Pooran
Hefty
Powell
Chase. Got to remember his role. Bat's 4 if we 2 down.
Shepherd
Joseph A. BAN DONE
MOTIE
HOSEIN
FORDE
Winning and losing in these matches hardly matters....it's building team ...my team
Akeal
Lewis
Hety
Pooran
Russell/ Rutherford
Powell
Shepherd
Chase
Motie
Forde
Joseph
Minimum 6 bowlers....if Russell plays...7...
I assume McCoy should have been in the squad...
Is Rutherford overrated? Can he actually bat?
You're one of them that think batting is based on style points and not runs?
This isn't gymnastics or Olympic diving enuh
In reply to DIEHARD
No. Been awhile since we get any runs. Man waan drop King, and he doing better than he. Always thought you was a Yaadie. Diehard Muddie
Brandon scored more runs in the ODIs than him. Also has out scored him in the 2 T20I. DWL
In reply to natty_forever
I'm born and raised Jamaican. Rutherford is the more impactful T20 player for me, if I have to chose between the two, I'm choosing Rutherford.
Why u keep mentioning ODIs when discussing T20 selection?
It's a consideration yes but they're two different formats requiring different approaches
