In the USA. Apparently the ESPN deal, which we don't have much information on is a bad thing for the US market- a very large market, estimate at 10 million.
Willow cricket got cut off by this deal, instead American viewers who have grown comfortable turning on their traditional TV to Willow must now subscribe to the ESPN pay per app crap. A very poor set up- you have to subscribe, then watch the game on your smart phone- really hard to do this, if you get calls for grand kids or friends while watching, the video cuts out or you have to somehow stop the audio to take the call.
If you want to want to watch it on traditional TV, you have to get a trained person to come to your house and merge it with the tv screen, not easy to do this, the game could be done by the time you figure it out.

Yeah that rubbish. I contacted ESPN support about this. No response yet. They got daylight savings messed up i suspect.

Either CWI or ESPN is confused about the time the match starts. They need to sort this isht out! Apparently neither party realizes that there is a time difference!
I am watching it on TNT sporks UK.
ESPN+ is live now.

Nope you can watch the game on ESPN plus channels you don't need an app or smart tv
Willow hasn't been showing WI home games for a few.
Plus for ppl like me who no got no cable I in SK and watching it on Tnt Sports 3 using me iptv subscription and can watch on several other stations. so the options are still there
and you know you have to pay Willow just like how you got to pay ESPN right?

6 Year Deal
Well just like Trump CWI signed a 6 Year deal with ESPN so hopefully they work out the time issue soon lol
The upside with ESPN is that you can rewind and rewatch the entire match if you miss it the biggest downside is that you never get early coverage and the 30 minute build up before matches!!!

Thanks for the information Bro, I wasn't aware that I can bypass the phone, when I think of app, I automatically assumed it is smart phone set up.
But, still the experience was unpleasantly different for my cable provider
Here's what happens: Using my remote speaker button, I bring up ESPN Plus. A message pops up in my screen, it reads- "you are now being transferred to a third party app." The page looks no different that a computer or smart phone screen than it does a traditional TV.
The experience is vastly different from a regular tv station, like willow, where I can go directly to the station.
With ESPN plus, I have to navigate about 20 different sports that is also shown live, in order to locate the cricket match- they always seem to have the cricket match hidden away, sometimes 5 overs will go by before I can land on the cricket tile box.
I wanted to make the point, that ESPN may be a good short term deal for CWI but if they want to capitalize on the USA market this big promising market, ESPN plus isn't the way to go.
ESPN is a regular station, CWI do not have a contract with this entity. It would have been great if they did.
ESPN Plus is a different legal entity, CWI has the contract with them, it is a streaming station, unlike traditional cable tv, like Willow or ABC. Difficult access- for example a separate bill or contract is required for subscription, with Willow for example, it is part of the cable package.
And locating you match is tedious and subject to intermittent break in service.
