You and others have been insisting that Heymeyer’s “rightful” position in the batting order is 4.

He gets his opportunity and fails. Yes….even some of the best batsmen get dismissed first ball.

But given the exhortations of you and others that Hetmeyer is being wasted in the lower order, he’s not a finisher, etc…..you must expect some chat when he doesn’t live up to the hyoe.

Also, in his inning prior to this... which was his last t20i... didn't he bat at #4 and took WI home? Scoring a breezy 30+ in no time?

It's a five game series and you're right for years people have been calling for Pooran to bat 3 and Hetmyer to bat 4 let's at least see how it pans out after the series nah man!!!

To be clear….i have no issue with Hetmeyer batting at 4

I also have no issue with him batting anywhere else in the order.

Hopefully that’s clear for those sensitive on the Hetmeyer topic.

I will repeat. There are those just waiting to chat if/when he fails, in part because the cry for him to be batting higher in the order has been so vociferous.

Case in point with Justin Greaves. He scored 3 centuries in a row in this domestic Super 50 series and in his 4th game he failed.

Immediately someone had chat for Greaves.

Just like those that chat at Hetmeyer for failing here today, even though any batsman can be dismissed first ball, it is to be expected.

No surprise to me that someone made negative comments about it.

Winning & losing in these inconsequential matches, should not be blown out of proportion.....what matters, building team for ICC trophy....

When we won world cups...we had Gayle, Marlon,Pollard,Bravo,Russell,Sammy apart from main bowlers....now, we carry 4 bowlers..forcing Russell to bowl, which he doesn't even for KKR.... Absurdity at peak!!!!
