Nor the religious fanatics in the Caribbean who fall prey to anybody toting a bible. In the West Indies, yes, the english speaking West Indies, there are political parties that have adopted Trumpism as their way of operations. Lies, slander, misinformation, character assassination, racism they employ as norms in their attempts to gain power or keep power. They care not how it harms the population, and the generational degradation that their behaviour can result in. No policy discussions, they exploit social media to spread rumours, create uncertainty, and fear. many of their supporters and others are not social media smart and rely on them for information. The result is that they create widespread ignorance, the potential consequences that none will be able to manage no matter who governs.

Also appalling is that some folks who profusely denounce Trump and his methods, actually condone and promote similar behaviours from the politicians they support in the region. How they cannot see the similarities is beyond rationality. Pay attention folks, read their news, view their parliaments and press conferences from The Bahamas to Guyana and Belize. Within minutes of Trump's victory, some of them were on social and traditional media pointing out Trump's victory as vindication to their methods.
