Our selectors and coaches, while respected and admired for their contributions to the game, have reached a point where their past glories no longer justify their continued influence. Cricket has evolved, but the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) remains stagnant, seemingly unwilling to adapt to a new era. The lack of succession planning is not just a failure of leadership; it’s a disservice to the young cricketers who deserve a pathway to success and to fans who long for a competitive Jamaican side.

Petty politics, favouritism and vindictiveness have long been a feature of Jamaica cricket. A player such as Raewin Senior should have long been a fixture in the Jamaica team by now, yet I have not heard his name called in a long time.

Excellent analysis I must say. That is the bane of the region. Cricket run by men to small to see the big picture

A president who presided over several years of the most precipitous decline shamelessly offered himself for reelection!! And a member of the said admin was elected as successor. Furthermore for whatever reason or for whosoever fault cwi treats JCA as poor cousin. Is there any wonder that cricket is on the decline?
