Four years ago, Donald Trump’s promising political career ended in defeat, disgrace, and condemnation from his own party, much of it his own doing. His attempt to overturn the result of the 2020 election was a “disgraceful dereliction of duty”, said Mitch McConnell.
Today, Democrats are scratching their heads in collective disbelief wondering how did this happen?

Blame it on macho Latino men, and white women not prepared to give up the white male patriarchy, even if all their rights are slowly being taken away.

Remember, whether they like it (grabs by pu-cy) or not, he was going to be their great protector. Who could ask for more?

From the end of Slavery to now, almost 160 years later, white women know they are still placed on a pedestal compared to other women no matter how brilliant and educated those other women are compared to them. So between a very qualified Black-Asian woman and an obnoxious white male American, they will always choose the white male.

As for what is now called adjacent White Latino men, they chose to go for the white male.
Some day, by some kind of osmosis, they hope to be seen as white.

Latinos in America are something like two-thirds European by ancestry. But even if they weren't largely European, why wouldn't they politically and culturally gravitate toward American whites, the richest and most productive people in history?

Yet some of the most recognisable figures in pro wrestling lore may be helping Trump break through in unconventional ways.

"If you asked a man on the street if they know Hulk Hogan, even a non-fan is going to say yes. (Trump) is hitching his wagon to people that he thinks are big-time stars," Mr Alvarez told the BBC.

"He's a character, a performer, and the things he says, the way he attacks his opponents, the way he puts himself over - it's absolute total pro wrestling."

At one point in his interview with Trump on Monday, Mr Calaway said pro wrestlers, like politicians, have to "make people care" in order to truly excel.

"You've been a master of this," he remarked as Trump leaned forward with interest.

"You've got to make people care one way or another. Either they love you or they hate you."

Casper, one critical issue decided this election. It crossed all racial lines, all ethnic lines, all gender lines - the cost of living. People were not able to pay their bills and the Democrats are talking about LGBT and abortion rights when the issue is dollars and sense (pun intended).

The narrative since 2016 was that his supporters are uneducated; are white racists and bigots. The results of the 2024 election throw all of that out the window.

The richest and most productive people in history! A discussion topic that.... with many perspectives , views and opinions as to its veracity.

Post Columbus era expansion , Europe set out to plunder the world , steal its resources , decimate/ enslave indigenous populations and a list of
collective humanitarian crimes over the centuries to attain those productive goals u suggest. Parasitic relationships were established some of which remain to this modern day

The history of rich and productive societies did not begin with Europe's escape from it's aptly named "dark ages".

Thank you, my brother. Yes Japan was really an eye-opener, the deep respect they have for civility. Visited Hiroshima and was blown away with what I saw. It’s one of the most industrialized cities in the world.

From a Western perspective, Japan is decidely monoracial and monocultural. Do you think its intellectual elites look to America or Europe and take the lesson that it would be wise to import tens of millions of brown and black people from poor countries? Aren't their immigration laws very strict? Of course, there's also the language barrier. East Asian languages have the reputation of being very hard to learn.

Some imports are better than others:

The Meiji Restoration (Japanese: 明治維新, romanized: Meiji Ishin), referred to at the time as the Honorable Restoration (御維新, Goishin), and also known as the Meiji Renovation, Revolution, Regeneration, Reform, or Renewal, was a political event that restored practical imperial rule to Japan in 1868 under Emperor Meiji. Although there were ruling emperors before the Meiji Restoration, the events restored practical abilities and consolidated the political system under the Emperor of Japan.[2] The goals of the restored government were expressed by the new emperor in the Charter Oath.

The Restoration led to enormous changes in Japan's political and social structure and spanned both the late Edo period (often called the Bakumatsu) and the beginning of the Meiji era, during which time Japan rapidly industrialized and adopted Western ideas and production methods.
Link

Western ideas and production methods built the modern world and in conjunction with the exploitation of hydrocarbons (both for energy and plastics) really underpin the massive expansion of human populations and wealth of the past 500 years.

Western ideas and production methods built the modern world.

As we reflect on the question of whether one mineral or discovery has shaped the modern world, it becomes evident that the answer lies in the rich tapestry of human history. Each mineral unearthed, each technique developed, and each idea exchanged has contributed to the intricate design of our contemporary society. A dynamic environment where advancements are not limited to a single story but rather a collective journey that is constantly changing has been created by the interaction of cultures, knowledge sharing, and the collaborative spirit of discovery.

Ideas and production techniques from many cultures and races have come together to shape the modern world.
It is a tapestry made from the strands of many culturally disparate concepts and approaches.
Every contribution has been essential in forming our contemporary social structures, scientific discoveries, and international relations.
