Really Kraigg??
debut: 3/6/20

Kraigg may or may not succeed in this series.......but for last several years, his return as opener has dwindled....the next best thing for CWI, management & Kraigg.... beside being rested for few series....move down the order...allow some young opener ...
No.4 is the best spot....

if he don't score runs in this series he should be dropped can't understand how he has been around for years and his batting never evolved

Is Braithwaite the only selectee with this same problem? The same can be said for most of the CWI teams. Who is his replacement? They tried Chanderpaul and they have obviously replaced him for good as he couldn't even make the practice squad. The cupboard is empty. Accept this fact and stop stressing.

As you say,[b] " they tried Chanderpaul and have obviously replaced him for good"you forgot to say they are still trying KB.[i]

So the solution is to just give up and not try anything else?

was never kraigg's replacement, he was his partner. right now i can think of two players that have the temperament and technique to replace Kraigg. Amir Jangoo and Jyld Goolie and Justin greaves especially. Jango always had the talent to be a west indian player. this year he has clearly added the temperament to his game so he does not give his wicket away

that is such a insipid statement eh. brian lara was a #3/4, coming in at 5 early on but opened for the west indies in the first three years of his career, most of those being red ball odis with the exception of one WSC tour. The total international series in 92/93 was a red ball odi series, so was the series against pakistan three months later. lara scored three hundreds against donald wasim and waqar in those two series. Once you're technically sound, you can bat anywhere. Those three guys are technically sound

i did not say that. im saying technically sound players can adjust. kraigg has not gotten his avg above 35 in 91 tests. that is probably the lowest avg of any player from an established test team(wi, india, pak, aus, sl, ind, nz) who has played that long. wi won't lose giving him the pink slip

Partner we suck... you could chop and change all you want none of the replacements won't do better. And yes, we all know slow poke is a waste of time.. nothing wrong with trying others but reduce that expectation because the replacements will most likely fail like him.
The only format we're half decent in these days is t20.
