My mentor was so proud to be asked by GG to eye him at practice. When he thought something was wrong with his batting, he would ask locals who he respected to watch him at practice and tell him the truth.
My mentor was a Lodge school alum. I had known him since I was 4 years old. Any time he saw something on cricket that he knew was not true, he would come and get me and show me how it was done.
I was scared most of the time.

My mentor passed some years ago; he would have had some choice words for Kraigg.
I can hear him saying, Lew, Lew, Lew, that boy doesn't know how to bat.
He stuttered.

Both he and his older brother were teachers, they both loved the game. His older brother was the scorer for Yorkshire, and he was the secretary of Empire Cricket Club and Barbados scorer.
