You are fortunate to be given the opportunity to play so many test match cricket because our we simply couldn't do better, a young player who want to do well should not seek to emulate your performance, but to do a whole lot better.

The chap is obviously delusional. Yes, a young player should aspire to represent the region at the highest level but certainly not to approach batting by blocking half volleys. I do have to admit that scoring twelve test hundreds is quite an accomplishment with his limited batting ability. I predict that when it is all said and done, he would play 125 Tests.

He turns 32 tomorrow. If he personally fails again with the bat, his place must come under question. Although their is not a line of opening batsmen knocking on the door for his place, the pressure will be on nevertheless. His grit is admirable but his failure to produce regular, consistent scores is now mounting. Since the game against the English County Select XI back in July, Brathwaite has just 260 runs at an average of just 18, with only one half century of note. For the captain, that is simply not good enough.

However, in replacing Brathwaite, not only is a new opening batsman required but also, a new skipper. The current vice captain, Joshua Da Silva, is also in need of runs. He at least, is still young and has time and fair performance if not outstanding displays with the gloves.

Should Kraigg Brathwaite's struggles continue, it may well be time to think outside the box and try a player who has not played at the top of the order, or even, not played much red ball cricket of late. Options exist.

Kraigg, remember was fourth in the West Indian pecking order: there was Gayle, bharath, keiran Powell, and then Kraigg. They ruined Gayle and powell’s careers and Bharath found religion. Now we are stuck with Kraigg.
